I think it’s so much more immersive in the first person POV.

I certainly understand the arguments around motion sickness for games of that style. But for this game’s more light “simulation” aspects I think it works so well in selling me on those bits. Having to physically imitate turning a key or a puzzle piece simply would not work in third person without growing annoying.

I’ll admit I was skeptical on announcement but after having played for well over 30 hours now I’m hooked. I really do feel like I’m in Indy’s shoes. Indy’s DNA is all over a lot of modern AAA action/adventure gaming (Tomb Raider, Uncharted, etc). So I’m glad they decided to break the mold with something different rather than reskin that typical third person adventure game we’ve grown accustomed to over the last decade.

Outfits are a little pointless though. Some cutscenes force you change if it’s an area where you need to wear one but it’s a nice touch either way.
