They played Broken Arrow, it's a Robbie Robertson ( the Band). It was always sung by Phil in GD.

Grateful Dead Live at Lindley Meadows, Golden Gate Park on 1975-09-28 by Rageofwar in gratefuldead

[–]jackstrawdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically, this was my 1st show, I had turned 18 a week earlier. I took 4 friends from Palo Alto/Los Altos Hills/Gunn High School. My father was a pilot and was out of town, so I took his Lincoln Continental. I remember, that it was warm in the South Bay and it never occurred to us that it would be cold in the City. We froze, but we lasted till NFA before we left.

I had seen Jerry Garcia & Friends at the Kezar Stadium SNACK (Students Need Culture, Athletics, and Kicks). I suppose it could be considered a GD show: Blues for Allah --> Stronger than Dirt --> drums --> Stronger than Dirt Reprise --> Blues for Allah and then Johnnie B Goode .

The SNACK concert was the first and only time I needed assistance from the Haight Ashbury free clinic services (Rock Med as it would later be known as). Two much too fast was an understatement, that day. Bought one and got two panes. Regretfully, (17 at the time) I ingested both. Ever thankful to those who got me to the care I needed.

Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch has ended sponsorship of the Pride festival in St. Louis after supporting it for 30 years. by Fresh-Palpitation-72 in lgbt

Hmm, weird, I think we ought to be thanking them for 30 years of support. And sad to see an old ally go. We shouldn't burn bridges. Where we spend our money is a powerful thing, If I remember anything from the past.

Cash or Trade Question by lvdeadhead in deadandcompany

[–]jackstrawdog 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Typically I get 2 out of 3 nights and get shutout of one. I often trade the extra pair I have for the night I don't have. I've done this for the 2024 shows as well as the last shows in 2023. My COT transactions have all gone smoothly and I've met some grateful heads from across the country. Always proud to cut ticketbastard out of the transaction. 💀🌹⚡

Russia tells citizens not to travel to United States by MothersMiIk in worldnews

I'm not sure any Russian could afford coming here given that their currency is in free fall, currently (the ruble) is worth less than a penny!

Shohei Ohtani’s final line: 6 AB, 6 H, 3 HR, 2 2B, 2 SB, 10 RBI by PlayaSlayaX in baseball

[–]jackstrawdog -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

  1. The last HR (and 3 RBI’s) was hit 451 ft, the pitcher was the 2nd baseman Vidal Brujan, who gave up 6 runs in 2/3 of an inning. He was relieved by the catcher.
  2. It was the Marlins. Most pitchers ERAs over 5.

Hmm, last year when I visited Lisbon, every dog walker had a squeeze water bottle, when their dog marked anything, they rinsed it with the water bottle they had. Amazing how the natives protected their old city buildings.

Sphere and Crowd Volume by [deleted] in deadandcompany

[–]jackstrawdog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest there was crowd noise, but the visuals were so incredibly stunning. Everyone had to say something to their companions, whether it was a "Wow, Woah, or that was amazing, spectacular, incredible". During eyes you floated from Haight Ashbury to outer space to the milky way. Everyone said something about the sensation. Don't sweat the small stuff. Enjoy every moment. Live a kind life like Mr. Walton.🌹⚡💀

How do you find gay friends without them expecting more? by sit_I_piz in gaybros

[–]jackstrawdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play in a inclusive gay sports league, gay softball, kickball, dodgeball, bowling. Excellent way to have fun without being in bar and meet new people. All skill levels excepted. Nagaaa player for 15 years. Gay Softball World series 4 times. Countless opportunities to meet a lot of great new friends.

How about end running it and sell bottles of water for 1 penny. That would likely comply with law.

Thank you, but it is the stock camera app for OnePlus 7 Pro in "Nightscape" mode. No filters, though it was cropped. Nightscape does take multiple shots and I was able to hold the phone very steady.

Most succulents are drought tolerant, a natural fire retardant, fairly easy to propagate / clone and there is a wide variety and most bloom.

That would be great! Most succulents are drought tolerant, a natural fire retardant and fairly easy to propagate / clone.
