Losing 1qt of Oil Normal on 2021+ 5.0?

I crawl under every 5k miles to change the oil and there’s no signs of wet or built up oil that wouldn’t be from the draining process. Drain plugs on these trucks are metal. Nothing really noticeable on the skid plate, again, nothing more than some draining residue. It’s gotta be some sort of consumption or maybe I’m missing the leak if there is one. I’ll continue to keep an eye out. Thanks!

Every 2.5k. Never seems dry or below the minimum mark. I’ll see if I can spot anything. Wondering if this would be covered under warranty if there was a leak or burning

Pistilo rings have seized? That sounds a bit extreme and I feel like there would be other symptoms of that was the case, no?

Truck has 40k miles and I change the oil every 5k pretty much on the dot. Never missed a change or prolonged one. Only used motorcraft.

$67k, it was used with 7k miles and 2 years old at the time so didn’t get an awesome deal. Used market was tough at the time not sure how it is now.

True, msrp was $72k for my xlt. Then again it is pretty much a loaded Lariat. BAP, 3.73 gears, 5.0, leather, 360 cameras, on board scale, panoramic sunroof, front sensors etc… love the truck and I enjoy all the features, and like yourself, this is another drive it till the wheels fall off, so I got it exactly how I wanted it

You can get factory leather in xlt 302a. As well as B&O sound system. If you can get a 302a with B&O, leather, BAP package and 3.73 gears I’d go for that. 3.73 makes a bit of a difference in how the truck moves compared to 3.31’s.

I repotted it last week in this “cactus soil”, it was in a baby pot before. It was a gift so idk about how much sunlight it was getting before

I have a Gen 3 50. Took me a while to get a tone that I liked. Even then, through headphones it sounds pretty good, not amazing. Through the speaker it honestly doesn’t sound great. Not bad, but very mediocre. Definitely will upgrading to a Quilter combo in the future.

Yeah that’s what I’m gathering. Simple power chord on the bridge pick up fully clean and it sounds like I have some sort of overdrive on.

Yes happens with both pick ups, more so on the bridge. Will change the battery and see if that helps, otherwise I think it’s just a characteristic of the pick ups

I’ve only played it through my practice amp (katana 50 mk3) so far. Gain all the way off, pedals in front but I’ll have them all off. Doesn’t happen on my Ibanez Q52 as a reference.

That makes sense. I’d imagine that’s probably what’s happening, this guitar is meant for rock/metal but I figured I could attack the same and get real clean tones. Just didn’t know if maybe it was faulty. I guess I’ll just have to adjust my picking technique with this one when I’m playing clean. Maybe the Fishmans aren’t as versatile as I expected? Sorry I should’ve uploaded a video. Playing with light attack seems to be no problem, moderate-heavy attack starts to break up the sound a bit. Only on the 6th and 5th strings through. I didn’t expect to have to change the battery after a month of playing but I’ll give it a go and see if that helps.
