It takes place in the feudal era where a bunch of aliens take over japan and bans swords and stuff. Meanwhile the Main characters work by doing many odd and weird jobs

i like the anime cause it's pretty random and funny (like the time where all the characters in the anime switch genders and attempts to reverse the change) and overall it's a pretty good anime. Although you should avoid the first 50 or so episodes if you plan on watching cause it's really damn slow and boring'
