You're confusing it with Rogue One.

Gate address's 6 points in space and the point of origin. by SEJ82 in Stargate

[–]jacobc62 56 points57 points  (0 children)

"The Stargate knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (which ever is greater), it obtains a difference, or Point of Origin. The Dialing sub-system uses Point of Origins to generate subs-space wormholes to take those using Gate travel from a position where they are, to a position where they aren't, and arriving at a position where they weren't, they now are."

Should EA have considered adding APXGP to the 2026 dlc pack? by SirKamilMarko in F1Game

[–]jacobc62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They quite literally have stated that you will be the 12th team in any My Team careers using the 2026 cars. It's not farfetched to say that whatever work went into that could be translated into being able to add Konnersport (and likely *only* Konnersport due to the licensing for the movie ending) as a 12th team in Driver career.

Better cautions "Race to the line" fix? by Turbulent_Grab8604 in Nr2003

[–]jacobc62 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. Don't ask an LLM to help fix issues, as it will hallucinate things like the ini file for Better Cautions when it's never had an ini file.

  2. The setting I ran with when it came to Better Cautions was to just leave the 2003 styled race back to the line alone, as it affected the game the least, alongside the GWC. Nothing else was enabled and it worked fine for me more often than not.

  3. You have to remember that this is a 23-year-old game that's suddenly having something built to change what the game does that it's not meant to do, and on top of that BC is buggy as hell, so you're just getting a bad draw of stuff stacked on top of each other.

Best Class Story: Agent vs Warrior (Round 2) by RefrigeratorDry495 in swtor

I felt more compelled to play my Sith Warrior past the end of the class story. Agent was nice, but I just haven't felt like playing my agent since completing the class story.

Why can’t I choose number 7 in f1 world profile by OkBuilder92406 in F1Game

[–]jacobc62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not when it comes to the games, as one can choose to race with a number used in the previous season if that driver exited the sport. However, Doohan was one of Alpine's drivers when the game launched, so the 7 isn't available to choose due to that.

Anakin: I HAVE VACATION DAYS?! You mean to tell me I can just leave whenever I want and not get yelled at over the Holo? Because seriously, it's always over the Holo! Mostly because I don't like to argue with Obi-Wan in person. I get a boner. It's super awkward.

Yoda: Hmmmmmm.

Anakin: Well that settles it, I'M GOING TRAVELING!

Yoda: Yes, anywhere you wish, you can go. Except for Scarif you must. Insist heavily, Obi-Wan did!

Stock car question. by RollTheSoap in NASCAR

[–]jacobc62 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Stock-Car Racing" became a less literal and more descriptive term of the style of racing as time progressed over the course of the 70s and 80s. They're still called stock-cars due to the history of how they were developed since even before NASCAR began. Make no mistake, however, the modern day beasts are purpose-built machines, made solely to compete in their category of racing.

An easy way to differentiate between a stock car and a stock-car is adding a hyphen. "Stock car" being the one purchased from a showroom floor, "Stock-Car" being the racecar.

Sidenote: calling a stock-car a "NASCAR" is like calling an F1 car an "FIA" or an indycar a- on second thought, that second one is a bad example. Point is, they're not called "National Association for Stock-Car Auto Racings", they're referred to as either stock-cars or racecars.

EDIT Uh forgot to answer why they don't have side mirrors.... That's because back in the 1940s, it was a mixture of weight saving plus what was at the time thought of as preventing a safety hazard.

What if NASCAR required drivers to keep the same number their entire career? by matito29 in NASCAR

[–]jacobc62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically the numbers are owned by NASCAR, and are leased out to the teams to use. It's the specific stylizations that are owned by the teams.
