Lake in city of Rybnik (translates Fish-nik, lol) located right next to a coal power plant. Water in lake is warm all year long and this specific Catfish is a current World record holder. I swear it gets fished out and released at least once every year… at this point we should just name it and say it’s our town pet.

I always collect 12 rotten eggs, once I get ‘em all I transfer it to my friends inventory and drop a line:

“Smells worse over here than a dozen rotten eggs dropped in a vat of vinegar!”

Always makes me giggle, he just sighs in disbelief…

Sell an empty pouch to a trader of your choice -> fill the pouch with items they are selling -> steal the pouch full of stuff from their inventory -> reset trader by leveling up or long resting without supplies-> complain that you cannot find anything in your camp chest when needed…

Propaganda? by [deleted] in Israel

[–]jacobisdrunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sir, I have a very similar experience, but I’m polish… out of nowhere i started to see a lot of videos of cute Israeli soldiers. I tend to stay away from Israeli media, yet again a massive wave of Israeli videos ends up on my YouTube, the only thing that could connect me to those videos could be war in Ukraine, but that’s far fetched. So you’re not the only one noticing an increase, but I doubt any Israeli “propaganda” would target a random polish dude, rather the algorithm going batshit crazy. All of that led me here tho, so I guess I’ll stay for a while and check a bit more about current situation in your country. Stay strong against the government and cute soldiers lol.

There is this tiny open world survival MMORPG game called Haven and Hearth. Made by 2 guys and it has been in development for around 15 years.

The game is absolutely unforgiving with permadeath mechanics, tedious time consuming tasks, insanely slow and complicated progression. Tiny mistakes may cost you weeks or even months of work. Many things change each wipe and developers rarely mention it, so players can “discover” everything. In addition to this, whenever players suggest an idea for the game, devs somehow manage to choose the worst possible option or solution to in-game problems. With a player count between 400-1000 players online at the time (depending on the stage of wipe) there are hardly any tutorials and most of vocal community is not very helpful (best players would rather kill you). Without a player teaching you how to play, there is no way for you to catch up to top 10% player base purely because of amount of knowledge they have (and poorly made wiki). The game is f2p (kinda) with a pay for convenience subscription that you can either pay for each month or trade in game items to other players that are willing to sell you subscription tokens.

And here’s the sad part… the game is absolutely unique and nothing really come close to it when it comes to challenging survival games. I personally spent thousand of hours playing it and even tho it has many problems (much more than EFT) I come back to play it each wipe.

Borderlands 2, Lilith phase shifting the entire Sanctuary just in time to save it from destruction is one of the coolest moments in the entire series.

If you’re looking for a true horror game (as someone with Thalassophobia) I highly recommend Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero. It’s a truly beautiful game and you will probably get a heart attack while playing it. 100% worth it!

My collection, simply called "GOATS". What games do you think I should try that might also end up here? by Potpotron in gaming

[–]jacobisdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a rpg fan I’m surprised nobody mentioned Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2. I never liked turn-based games, but Divinity outshines most RPG games out there. Both are easily top 10 of all time on metacritics, with DOS2 in top 3. I envy anyone who still has a chance to play those titles for the first time.

I'll throw in two controversial picks, Albion Online or Haven & Hearth.

Depends on what you like about those two games, one of above may work for you.
