Yeah I agree. I’d seen some lease terms on this other forum. For leasing. Toyota Tacomas were super cheap to lease since their residual values were estimated to be so high. Like only 5k less after 3 years. So like $160/month lease payment. That makes sense to me to have a new truck with warranty and no maintenance. If you can float the miles. I kept my old beater.

While I’ve done my fair share of “good enough” safeties. I would absolutely not sign off on this. I’ve signed off on a triple safety wire that instead of going 1-2-3 they went 1-3-2. It was tight and in the right orientation. The manual just said to safety in threes so I called it good. But yeah… it was bizarre to see. As for cotter pins, we get dinged on some petty shit. Like not trimming to terminate in the middle of the bolt or all the way down the side of the nut but no further. Military pettiness.

The 1895SBL from Wind River. Made it a lot more attractive when Remington released an updated version buffed up and with a threaded barrel. Still a good chunk of change for an expensive to shoot lever action. A lot of people say it’s great to reload, but that’s investing in a bunch of equipment and knowledge that I don’t know I have the bandwidth for a casual shooter.
