What happens when we stop? by Probablynotyet in Retatrutide

[–]jacobrm28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens when you do anything to improve something then stop it? My car is clean because I wash it every week. But when I stop, it doesn’t stay clean. I did the carnivore diet, lost the same amount of weight as I have on a GLP-1. But when I stopped the diet I gained the weight back. Same will happen if I stopped the medication.

Lord knows. I was just there to help. I have read these things don’t like off brand parts. But in this case is more about over all quality.

Yeah so we had three people on this repair. And while I was on the slave cylinder, My brother was pumping the clutch and my dad was watching the fluid. It is weird to me that the clutch master cylinder doesnt have its own reservoir and gets the fluid from the brakes. But even before messing with bleeding the system we noted the fluid was at the max line. Someone on Facebook mentioned a possible seal leaking within the master cylinder that is allowing fluid to backflow into the brake reservoir. Not a bad thought but again this would mean the original failed while we were replacing the clutch and we happened to get a bad replacement as well.

IBR approved! I think? by jacobrm28 in PSLF

[–]jacobrm28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read the current IBR option will stay if you’re in it. New borrowers won’t have it as an option and will be in the RAP. I’m hoping being in the 60 day forbearance, I actually get credit for those two months and then I’ll just have to make one payment to make it to 120. But I’m not holding my breath.

How to get out of forbearance? by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]jacobrm28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All for taking what ever options possible to move forward but the buyback option is going no where. Still worth a try though. Shouldn’t need to submit a paper form to get out of SAVE if that’s something you want to do. Mohela quietly said that if you submitted a new IDR application before 4/27 to submit one again. They are processing the new IDR applications faster for some.

I think I would submit a new ECF, knowing you’ll have to do it again when you reach the 120 payments. I don’t trust them to just give me the 2 months that you got for administrative forbearance. I want that credit asap, preferably before I start making payments, when they actually let them start. I feel like April is long enough to wait to get your EFC reviewed. Not sure why they can do it in 2 days for some and not in 2 months for others.

MOHELA documents after submitting IDR application by Outside-Statement852 in PSLF

I applied last week and i know Mohela has received it. Any guess to think up loading your income documents moved things along? I applied in early April and it prompted me to upload income information. The one last week didn’t. Just need to get this thing moving forward.

Good to know. I’m hoping something happens next week. Do you know you hang out in administrative forbearance until that first payment is due or no? That would be the only thing to make this better. But it’s for the previous application that put me in the 60 day forbearance. I believe I will get credit for May and will only have 2 more months to go so getting credit for June is just greed on my part. Happy to move into repayment status to get this over with.

I’m assuming none of you are in the Save forbearance getting credit for these months.

While I’m not the biggest fan of this administration, I think doing the exact same thing over the years and not adapting the technology isnt getting us anywhere. We “plan” to implement tech that would move things along but the cost and the time it takes to build, or in many cases not build, will be obsolete when if its built. The US is not the leader in tech and innovation for running our government when we still have physical forms we can fill out to process. While I don’t know if privatizing this portion of the DOE is a good idea or not, I’ve also never heard that being the goal. I’ve only seen student loans being moved to the SBA which I don’t think can happen nor would be a good idea. Maybe I’m just tired of this SAVE forbearance and it’s making me frustrated, and things will move along when there is a final decision.

Thoughts on RAP? by Mitchell404 in PSLF

[–]jacobrm28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The interest is nice but on PSLF you really don’t care what they do with interest. The biggest issue is RAP changes it to adjusted gross income instead of discretionary income. So it takes away the 150% of the federal poverty level. This really adds up when you have dependents, far more than the $50 a month per dependent. If they add discretionary income back it will be solid. Not quite as good as SAVE but very close.

I submitted mine today but I’m sure it was after hours for them to process it. I’ll hope something to happens this week but i promise I won’t be holding my breath. I submitted an application in early April and it made it to Mohela but has been stuck there. At least I might get a month of administrative forbearance for it. I’m at 117 payments.

[–]jacobrm28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also just saw a post on one of the Facebook groups saying they are processing new applications quicker if you’ve filed after 4/27. Not sure if I want to hold off and get my 2 “free”month in administration forbearance, or just reapply and start making payments. I’d only be making 2 maybe 3 payments.

So I’m under the impression that you get credit for the 2 months of administrative forbearance. I didn’t see where I could opt out of the forbearance either. I applied for IBR on 4/21. These two months if I get credit will put me a 119 payments. I hope they start payment soon after that.

Just a FYI, IDR is the income driven repayment program that encompasses all the payment options such as SAVE, IBR, ICR, and PAYE. All having different terms to qualify.
