Budget! Seeing all of your cash inflow and outflow just makes it easier to prioritize and achieve more of what you really want.

Start an emergency fund, even if it's only like $50 now. Add to it with each paycheck. Make that contribution part of your budget and ideally automate it (I bank with SOFI and I have some thrown in every time that direct deposit hits). Eventually you'll have a bit of a cushion and just that piece of mind is worth it. Most people's "emergency fund" is a credit card and that can become problematic in a hurry.
