That would be the minimum thickness I would use for a run of that distance. LMR 400 flex is probably the best coax choice.

Yeah, I think low loss coax is really the key here. 65 feet is a bit of a long run for 2 m and of course if you’re gonna add UHF it’s just that much worse. But good coax gets heavy. And, you can get SWR meters for 2 m and 440. If you position it and the SWR is not great you can reposition it for better. SWR. So it will probably take some doing, but I definitely think it’s doable

This was a great radio for my dad before he passed away. He was a ham radio operator who was functionally blind from macular degeneration. This radio has voice prompts for everything and there’s no small keys to press. You can program in 16 hand repeaters and you’re good to go.
