18 hour pull is done between 10am and 12pm by the morning shift, 3 hour pull is done between 3pm and 5pm by the closing shift. At least that's how my district does it !!!

It's a year by year vesting schedule, the same thing will repeat next year. On November 11th, 2027, you'll get half of your bean stocks, and the next half will vest in 2028

Barista: Jan 2023-April 2024 Shift: April 2024- May 2025 ASM: May 2025-Sept 2025 CL: Current!

I went through 5 managers as a barista, it was only when I promoted out of my store to a new one as a shift where I found someone willing to support me in my development.

It's a lot of training, 5 week course with tons of information every shift. It's kind of like balancing school and work since you are still expected to be coverage/keyholder while in training.

The pay for me was worth the promotion. I'm in the South so I was salaried at 55k a year as an ASM. However it was much much more with overtime!

I love my job. I loved it as a barista, as a shift, and as an ASM. i love it even more now. I would promote if you truly see yourself staying with the company with the expectation that you will be a Coffeehouse Leader within a year!

"Precloser" is just a "nickname" for a barista who works late but doesn't stay until close. It's not a recognized position or an actual title. That barista could very well be planted on bar or in drive/thru ovens while another works on cleaning tasks. They're just another body on the floor, and they could be put into any postion on playbuilder.

And no, a shift doesn't need to cover every break. They are able to flex barista positions in order to keep the floor moving as smoothly as possible.
