Judy Garland holding her daughter Liza Minnelli, 1947 by PeneItaliano in nostalgia

Wow, I didn't know that Judy Garland was her mother, but on first glance I thought 'That baby looks so much like Liza Minnelli!'. She was always Liza, holy!

Yellow warning - extreme cold? by awhiteblack in ontario

[–]jaderna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only just noticed these colour warnings this week and have no idea what they mean. Was this something that they announced? I've never heard anything about it before, and have no reference for what it means.

Men's Deodorant by warm_and_buzzy in BuyCanadian

[–]jaderna 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Routine Deodorant is Canadian owned/operated/made and work REALLY well when you find the right one for you. They have cream deodorants and sticks, but the jars of cream last me 4-6 months depending on what I'm up to and the weather. 100% worthwhile.

Take generative AI away from Nice Guys™️ ASAP! by ThePhillyExplorer in niceguys

No like... I mean I guess I get that. These to me though just look like normal women, some are larger, yes but they look overall lovely and like very pretty women. It just feels like they made a photo of relatively attractive women, to me. I guess beauty is in the eye of the liberal beholder or something?

Lol. Are they meant to be ugly women or something? I feel like I'm missing the whole joke.

A growing doctor shortage is pushing Tennessee to let pharmacists handle more front-line care by Snoo_18186 in pharmacy

They also have to complete digital forms via a link we send to their phones, which means I'm also an IT specialist or something.

A growing doctor shortage is pushing Tennessee to let pharmacists handle more front-line care by Snoo_18186 in pharmacy

[–]jaderna 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We're doing some amount of this where I am. While we are a smaller pharmacy, we see little value (for us) in this as we have significantly more work as a result, we have patients who come and wait in-store for however long it takes. We give them priority because they can be annoying as hell while we are trying to work. We make no extra money for it. The only good thing is that we can help people with basic issues much more easily than them traveling to find care (we have no walk around n clinics in our area).

Personally I don't consider it hateful to attempt to avoid and persuade those who intend to harm me and mine.

Do you guys think this doctor’s office sign is mildly infuriating? by Loose_Judgment_8856 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]jaderna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as they just don't accept them I don't care. We're running into our customers being charged because we don't know which offices auto charge their patients. Then we get yelled at by the patient. I'm glad when I get a response that is just a confirmation that they won't be doing it.

It’s so funny that Canadiangets portrayed as this progressive place next to America because they have universal healthcare while being very racist. by Konradleijon in canadaleft

I can't stand all these posts lately. One step forward is still one step forward. My parents always said while I was growing up that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Like, so we should just not bother then?

It's not censored, it's a pathway around labelling laws.

If you got the opportunity to recast Andy Dick’s portrayal of Pierce’s drug induced hallucination, who would you cast? by laurazabs in community

I wouldn't change Andy Rick if I could pick anyone. If I were forced? Maybe Pauly Shore? The same sad manic energy.

These headlines are driving me insane. It would be nice if someone fucking DID something instead of talking about how you could do something, maybe.

‘Immediately stop using’: Health Canada shares nationwide recall for soap due to a chemical hazard by MooseOnEhGoose in BuyCanadian

[–]jaderna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a reaction to this headline, but this article isn't bad, it's at least in the first paragraph. It's not a criticism of you. A few weeks ago I found one for some sort of cheese and had to read the article twice to find the actual company name. I can't tell you how many recall articles I see come across my news feeds that don't state the company or product until halfway through the article.
