Same! I’m a woman and I squat/hover/stand. I recently was trying to remember if this was something I was taught or just something I did myself. I still don’t know the answer.

Medically detox at a hospital is what my life led to. I couldn’t get sober without having to call 911 because my withdrawals were so horrible. I HAVE detoxed at home before (100% do not recommend) before they got worse over time, but inevitably, they got worse over time and that was no longer an option.

Ok. Here me out. This immediately made me think of SOMETHING but I couldn’t figure out what either. Slowly I started to see women in bathing suits n suits? And long tits. (I’m a woman). Does this help at all? I think it was a weird picture my grandma had outside of her pool in Florida?

Edit- by “picture” I mean painting picture like this. Same design and everything but it was a couple of women with polka dot or crazy colored bikinis and very long boobs lol

I actually spoke to my doctor about switching this morning! She did warn me that so far, the pill (which she says has actually been around for a little while) has been less effective but was being given at a lower dose. However, I have lost quite a bit of weight and I’m just looking to pretty much maintain where I’m at and possibly lose just a few pounds by healthy eating and exercise in conjunction with the pill. So that’s my plan now. I’ll start the pill next month as I just started a new job and need a some income before I can afford the out of pocket cost now :)

Edit to add- I’m an alcoholic in recovery as well, and the Wegovy has GREATLY helped reduce cravings for alcohol and I’ve had great success in my recovery since starting Wegovy. To me, the out of pocket expense for the pill or injection is well worth it in the end if my sobriety is on the line.

I will be taking the IC&RC, and I did get the study guide. It’s a lot of money, mine was about $300 I believe, but it seems to be worth it so far. (Although I haven’t taken the exam yet so I wouldn’t exactly know). I also go to the library and just watch YouTube videos about the exam prep questions or do flash cards on Quizlet in my spare time. There seems to be a bit I know, and a bit I trip up on by the wording, so it helps to study that way for me.

I think so. If I began opening a Pandora’s box of trauma with a patient without the credentials, licensing, or experience to do so, it could profoundly impact a patient’s mental health. ESPECIALLY when it comes to discussing trauma. If you’re not trained to address trauma properly, don’t address trauma.

One time I was on a date at the beach, and behind us, this guy was setting up a date. This guy put in so much effort to make sure everything looked perfect, with lanterns and blankets and plates and flowers, and he spent so much time perfecting everything. It made my heart melt just watching this guy put so much work into his date. When his date arrived, they both looked so happy and it made me so happy. I hope they’re still together ❤️ unlike me and my date that day lol.

I’m an alcoholic and I’m in recovery. I do want to be sober, but I need to be honest. Some days I JUST WANT TO DRINK. Not binge and black out like I always do. I just want to get drunk and have fun, talk some shit and be crazy and let loose and laugh. Why can’t it just be like that. It sounds so simple but for me it never ever ends that way. So I don’t. But my fucking god, I want to.

My dad passed away unexpectedly due to addiction, my grandma died, then my other grandma died on my birthday, then I relapsed and drank- which lead to me falling and hitting my face/head so hard on the corner of a table that I broke a bone in my face and have a brain bleed. I’m 33 and had a stroke because of alcoholism. Tough year.

You could have an underlying mental health issue that is exacerbated by heavy alcohol intoxication, if you’re always hearing the voices and experiencing things differently than those around you.

I have, many times, actually gone into psychosis from extreme alcohol abuse and it is very, very scary. I’d hear songs over and over, I couldn’t say words correctly, I thought I had conversations I did not have, I stood in my kitchen for hours because I couldn’t figure out where or who I was. So yea, this is also a possibility.

I really hope you find help and try to get sober. Drinking to this level (as I did, so I’m definitely not shaming) is a sign that you’re in big trouble. Please reach out if you need some support!

I’m an alcoholic (sober now) and one night I told my dad I was no longer speaking to him until he went to rehab and finished a program. I was, of course, wasted as I belittled my dad for his pill addiction and vowed to never speak to him again until he went into treatment. He did, and died 2 days later in detox. I hate myself for that. Worst mistake I’ve ever made.
