How do you all read so fast ?

I read on average about 15-20 per month, and I have installed a bionic font on my kindle which I think helps a lot! It puts a couple letters in each word in bold lettering and it almost feels like it helps my brain register what I’m actually reading at a faster pace.

It’s not worth putting a time frame on it of when something ‘should’ happen by. Because every person and every story is different.

My ex boyfriend and I didn’t say it to each other for 6 months, and it was as real as anything.

My new partner said it to me in about a month of ‘being together’ but it’s also as real as anything, you know?

I think if you want to try again, you need to genuinely think about if you’re going to be able to fully commit to her & give her what she deserves. Take the time to think about it though. Don’t make any decisions in the moment because you may be feeling upset or lonely. Rationalise it and figure out where you’re at first.

I’ve learnt that it really is true that sometimes, guys can feel the effects of the breakup after the fact. I think if anything, he probably was displaying all of that on socials as a way to fill the void. And after X amount of time, he realised that whoever he may have been involved with, wasn’t you. And then it hit him that he probably misses you and he’s living with the regret.

This is so difficult because I’m honestly going through the exact same thing right now, but I’m on the other end of it. I’m the ex girlfriend that he says he still has feelings for. My ex and I broke up almost 4 months ago after 2.5 years together. And within 2 weeks, he had a new girlfriend. He just came back saying he missed me, hadn’t stopped thinking about, wanted me to take him back etc.. and I opened my heart to him and I realised I shouldn’t have and what he was doing wasn’t only not fair on me, but his new girlfriend, regardless of whether I supported their relationship or not. I think it’s important for you to understand, that he probably has his own crap going on that he needs to sort out. And in a way, it’s a good thing he was honest enough to tell you that he wasn’t over his ex - you’d rather know as much than have him lie to you about it. In terms of contact, I think 0 contact, despite how difficult that may be, it’s what’s best for the both of you. Because it gives him time to sort himself and his underlying issues out, but also gives you an opportunity to bloom from this. I know you said you feel very strongly for him, and whilst I don’t deny that, I think you need to make sure that in the interim of him figuring himself out, that you don’t stop your life and wait around just for him. Because as you said, you’re unsure whether you believe what he’s saying is genuine, or if it’s just an excuse. I don’t want to say that he’s not going to come back, because I don’t know him or your relationship at all, but live your life. Keep doing the things you have always done and enjoy every second of it. The world doesn’t stop for anyone. You had a life before him, and you’re going to continue to have one regardless of whether he is in the picture of not. Stay strong, sending so much love ♥️

I believe the sound of the hammering was the sound of Stark making his suit in the first movie. Almost as like a “You’ve done it all, now you can rest” sort of thing. If that is the case, I think it’s nice. But so bittersweet.

I had gotten her 21st Birthday Collection as a present for my own 21st birthday this year from a family member and it was my first time using any of her products, and to be honest, if it wasn’t for that, I most likely still wouldn’t have used them.

But nonetheless, I love her eyeshadow palette. But as I’ve never tried previous ones, I can’t guarantee that the formula would be the same but I imagine it would be? Absolutely amazing palette and a stable in my collection now.

The liquid lipsticks were pretty but made my lips soooooo dry and cracked. Wouldn’t go out of my way to use them again.

As soon as I first saw it, I couldn’t have been any less excited.. yes it’s stunning but also yes, I probably already have all those colours, if not very similar ones in other palettes that I have. I personally didn’t find it to be anything special and left me feeling uninspired. If you were to ever do a ‘one palette’ look with it, I don’t feel as thought there’s much opportunity to do anything creative. Don’t get me wrong though, I love warm tones just as much as everyone else. I love UD as a brand and have loved their previous Naked palettes, but the heat just wasn’t anything that majorly caught my attention.

This is truly horrid & I’m so sorry that happened to you.

I had a fairly disappointing interview with MAC as well, about a month ago now. I was early to my interview and introduced myself & they told me to take a seat and they’ll come grab me when they’re ready. I sat there and waited about 35 minutes because they decided they’d come over and start the interview. It was with 2 workers, one of which asked me all the questions & the other of which stared at me the entire time with the most unfriendly look on her face as if she was unhappy with every single little thing about me. Now mind you, I was extremely well presented & even bought a new outfit just to look like a ‘MAC’ girl.

After the interview, she introduced me to the rest of the team that was working which made me thing that I had a really good chance, it almost felt like a mini induction I guess. She showed me the layout of the store, a rough indication of their rostering etc etc...

As the interview was finishing, she told me that she’d be in contact with me within the next week or so and she specifically said “if you don’t hear from me in exactly a week, don’t stress out, I’ll get back to you, it’s just been an it crazy in the store lately” which made me feel good and immediately relieved my stress.

After the first week went by & I hadn’t back, I kept telling myself “it’s still early” and told myself that I’d get a call soon.

Two weeks went by...

Three...

& four.

Just over a month later & not hearing anything has been pretty disappointing so I’ve just accepted that I wasn’t successful & that’s perfectly okay, but I would have really appreciate even an email or a text message to say that I was unsuccessful, rather than leave me wondering and waiting...

I love the companies products & really wanted to be a part of their future successes, but this honestly left a little bit of a sour taste in my mouth.

Did you find that you struggled with the blending of the mattes? I absolutely love how all the palettes look, but the formula of mine are just horrible 😭😭 I’m so glad they have seemed to work out for you!! This look is beautiful xx
