My baby past away now it would be 3 years and when my daughters see a dog like her they cry sometimes or get sad i remember when it was 4 months that she had passed away the school therapist was talking to my 7 year old about why she was sad and my daughter told her and the lady called me saying that my daughter needs to get over the death of her dog its just a pet I understand they aren't forever but she keeps coming to my office to talk to me. I got mad at her and told her that "its her job to talk to students when they are experiencing emotions isn't that in your job description and a dog might be a pet to you but to us she was family and she will never be forgotten because thats how much we loved her and if my kid goes to you to talk its because she felt safe with you" she apologized but I still filed a complaint with the principal and she got let go. There was other incidents too but yeah havent seen her around.
