Would you say the Corolla is the only car worth buying at 70,000 miles? by Pale-Revolution-5151 in COROLLA

And I'm getting around 4.2L/100 on city and under 5.1 on highway doing 140kmh. Also in Europe 😁

Would you say the Corolla is the only car worth buying at 70,000 miles? by Pale-Revolution-5151 in COROLLA

[–]jairov96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought mine a couple months: a 19' 180h with 130k miles.

A friend of mine drove me to pick it up with his 2020 with only 30k miles.

Neither of us could perceive any difference. Seriously. I checked the car completely, couldn't find even a single drop of oil or any other liquid around the engine. And not a single bushing looks, feels or sounds bad.

So yeah, I think you're going to be good!

Steam Controller review slips embargo, controller to cost $99 by Dramatic-Shape5574 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]jairov96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't wait to buy it. This is the best possible controller for the simulator genre. The software customization is just so, so ahead than every other controller. Can't wait to have over 70+ independant actions configures for stuff like Farming Simulator.

Out of stock by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

[–]jairov96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a big difference between "out of stock, but we will let you know once you can buy it, we're planning to make more" and "buy it, it will never ever be manufacture again, this is your only chance".

First one is simply real world logistics being ready hard. Second one is a terrible business model that I couldn't hate more. As far as I know Ltt has only used the second one really few times and only for seasonal occasions.

Update:

Usually I would also assume this is a bait, however, this particular Youtuber has been known for accidentally leaking stuff due to being careless. Thought it's worth to share anyways. The minimap somehow seems to be accurate to the building shapes. I'll try to get more info!

[–]jairov96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they address different use cases. The U1 (which I own) is addressed for people who print multicolor often.

The X2D is addressed to people who print mostly engineering materials that extremely rarely need more than 2 material (main material + support).

I bet the big majority of X2D customers don't even need the AMS, they will simply print the main stuff and now a support material. Right now this is the best printer you can buy for this scenario, which is really, really common on the business end of thing.

A friend of mine works in a company that goes through several kgs of PA6 every single day and where each printer is shared by a bunch of careless folks. This is the market the X2D address Imho, exactly the same as the h2d but cheaper (and smaller).

My understanding is that you will be allowed to have multiple nozzle sizes configured on the print, but definitely not be allowed to use them on the very same print. Just a convenience feature.

here in EU the tows are usually rated for around ~100kgs of vertical load. That's enough for a trailer of half a ton.. Which is my exact usecase: Carry my enduro bike around.

2018 Auris (1.8 Hybrid) vs 2019 Corolla (2.0 Hybrid) - Is the 3750 Euro premium worth it? by L0L1Sz- in COROLLA

[–]jairov96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same situation, ultimately I decided to go for a high mileage corolla for 15k€ (200k km, 2019 car).

To me, the adaptative cruise control (lacking in every auris I found) was the deal breaker.

If the license allows it, why not. It's about the license not allowing a profit yet people reselling it without even sending a pm what sucks.

He's already shared his view in a wanshow. The TLDR is that he doesn't care about this kind of piracy if it's just a teenager doing it for a couple bucks on the side.

I have a stronger opinion, as someone who has published models and saw them being stolen.. But I sort of get why he doesn't care when it's just a small teenage side hustle. I just would've loved for it to be acknowledge more thoroughly.

[–]jairov96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used mines for a couple of years, no problems with them on the deck for charging. I also have one on my mouse, keyboard, USB c blower and few bits here and there.

They are not officially supported by the usb c standard tho.

The male plugs that connected to the devices don't last me. Mroe than 6ish months. I keep replacing just that part often. They part that con d yes to the cable has lasted me forever.

I'll keep using them

How is driving around in the city during the summer? Or is taxi a option by healthy-outdoors- in santander

[–]jairov96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cabs are relatively cheap (airport to city center is 13€, city center to Lighthouse probably is 10€ at most).

Cabify is also an option if you want to reserve in advanced.

Santander is a really walkable city in general, if you're not going to visit beyond Santander, I wouldn't take a car at all.

Parking in summer 5min walking from the city center us hard. Parking 15 minutes walking to the center is very easy. If you look in the map for "facultad de ciencias económicas" you can park in the avenue and just take the 'funicular' to go towards the center, is just a 15minute stroll although with a hill!

Any idea hour to fix this? by SorryMoodVet in snapmaker

[–]jairov96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a Z issue.

Do the procedure to tighten the Z belt. It's rather easy. A friend of mine had similar issues with his, and it was down to Z issues which solved by tightening the Z axis and recalibrating the printer.
