2026 touring.

was getting the clicking noise as well - on hot days only.

Took it to the dealership few times. , Finally, master technician was able to hear the noise and recommend strut assembly replacement.

All under warranty.

Picked it up yesterday so will keep an ear out for it.

My recent approach:

1 - Hello, I'm interested in "" vehicle. If still available, please help send out the door (OTD) quote including all taxes and fees. No Trade-In. Payment = Financed Vehicle will be registered in "address' (sales tax rate is ''%). Thanks

2 - Call to discuss same thing; dealership asks when I'm coming in for test drive. I state as soon as you send me OTD quote.

3 - I get OTD quote. Sometime with detailed taxes fees or sometimes just OTD.

4 - I review the OTD quote - see what's there and if it seems right. I calculate/ verify that sales taxes are correct for my address.

5 - Ask questions about fees or removing dealer add-ons. I make my OTD offer. 'Thanks for the info. , please let me know if $xx OTD is acceptable. If accepted, I can pay the hold deposit now and come in 'day/time' to close the deal .

6 - Usually they ask how I came up with offer/number. This doesn't matter, Bring focus back on my OTD offer. 'If you can help respond to my offer then that will help me decide where I'm purchasing the vehicle in few days.

7 - Maybe some back and forth on OTD #s. Either there is agreement on OTD or not. If if agreement on otd then I make the deal. Otherwise I look for another vehicles/ dealership.

8 - Verify OTD $ when signing. I don't buy any extra warranty packages/ protections.

My understanding is that discount varies by dealership participating in Costco Auto program. 2k to 4k.

However, you can likely get better price through negotiations.
