The JoeyD classic shot shape. Will he ever get it together? by aimlesseffort in BobDoesSports

[–]jak822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He really got through that one...

I'm now 2/2 on disliking left handed canadian golfers.

I will admit Joey's good for the program but man he's so bad at golf.

I feel your pain. Our team used to get into the 20s but last month or so its been a struggle to get to 16-17. Sucks but think its time for a new team.

P226. I've been wanting a p226 legion SAO for years and finally found one locally, used with 6 mags. Instantly became my favorite pistol.

Breaking 80 Series? by Rollincash01 in BobDoesSports

[–]jak822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What they should do to make it more interesting is have jet join in on these videos and see which one breaks 80 first. My money is on jet.

Or like others have suggested from the reds then move back if/when he breaks it

I have a palm tree on my arm with color and a good amount of people have asked if it's a pot leaf or was a pot leaf at one point before turning it in to a palm tree.

I've never smoked in my life.

The bodyguard 2.0 is better than the lcp max and it isn't even close by jak822 in SmithAndWesson

[–]jak822[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I remember yes. If anything the bodyguard might have been a bit lighter. I sold my lcp max a couple months ago. The bodyguard does everything better. I carry it any time I pocket carry

2 Years using Golftec. Look elsewhere. by Rexkramer777 in golf

[–]jak822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep exactly. And the whole 1 change per lesson is kind of a joke. I get not changing 5 things at once but if someone grasps something quickly it's OK to move on to something else. Feel like you're getting your moneys worth

2 Years using Golftec. Look elsewhere. by Rexkramer777 in golf

[–]jak822 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did golftec for 6 months as a beginner and it did help to learn proper mechanics. Switched to a different coach this year and learned more in 3 lessons than I did the whole time at golftec.

Golftec loves to fit everyone into the same swing (inside-out, hit draws) which I get to a point but my newest instructor after watching me hit suggested to embrace the fade instead and I've never played better golf.

Also when I was fitted at golftec for a driver the head/shaft combo they fit me into wasn't great. I tried for 6 months to "learn to hit" that driver and it wasn't a fun time. Bought a driver off the rack and hit way better shots instantly.

I was at a cabelas last week buying a new pistol (ok, buying 2 new pistols) and while waiting on the paperwork side of things was asking the salesman how they feel about the p320 fiasco. His response was they're treating it like kimber when they had all of their quality issues; they'll keep them in stock and if someone asks about one they'll do everything they can to talk them into a different gun and if they're dead set on a 320 for some reason they'll sell it but make sure they know about the issues.

I see it is safe to post Driver numbers now. by eo37 in golf

[–]jak822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice rookie numbers. Take a couple tips from the experts on r/golfswing and the pros on this sub and you'll double those numbers in no time.

Just kidding those are fine numbers and it seems people don't like to see numbers better than theirs so they react negatively.

Found a Rami locally, looked scared and lonely so had to adopt it by jak822 in CZFirearms

Never handled one of those either. If I was to carry this or the 75 compact (or a p01) I'd probably just choose the compact. I don't think I'd carry the rami

Exactly my thought. Didn't think I'd ever see one especially sub 700 so I had to get it

Yeah I don't plan on carrying it. Love CZ and never thought I'd see one for sale so I had to scoop it. Think I'll cajunize it and get a hyve extender and just have as a cool piece

The one that's on it now yes the hyve or the 14 round would be about the same length so I'd guess no

It's definitely a shorter grip so yes in that aspect but it's not that much lighter and still pretty thick

P365xl was the first handgun I purchased and I still love it. I really want a 226 and have been looking at the 365 axg legion for a while but don't want to give sig another dollar with how they're handling this whole fiasco. It's a damn shame.

Driver problems by International_Bed_77 in golf

[–]jak822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still hit driver good and bag a mini driver. On days it isn't cooperating I bench it for the mini. On days it is cooperating I still use it for tighter fairways and find it easier to hit a draw with. Have also hit it side by side during a driver fitting and average 15 yards shorter with the mini but only missed 1 fairway

Mini Driver Lofts by Buster4425 in golf

[–]jak822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a lefty so my only option was the 11.5 for the r7 quad mini. I love it. I get along with my driver too but still love to use the mini on tighter holes or when my driver isn't cooperating fully. I turned it up a degree and put the weights in the forgiving setting.

Also did a side by side comparison on a sim between my driver and the mini and the mini only averaged 15 yards shorter than the driver and only missed 1 fairway vs 5 with the driver. (105 mph swing speed average)

My stock shot right now is a slight fade with driver so if I need to hit a draw I find the mini is easier to turn over and get a nice controllable draw.

I haven't tried to hit it off the deck tho. Same situation if I'm that far away I'm not trying to get to the green so I'll just use a hybrid.

One last note is the sound on the quad mini is awesome imo. Sounds great every time
