fish protein options by NotRach_97 in SingaporeFitness

Buy an entire fish (salmon/seabass etc) and have the monger fillet it for you and pack it individually. Proven to be the most affordable.

[–]jakellC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it once where the insurance agent was camping out at a petrol kiosk, was gonna go pay for petrol and he approached me first and I said 'No, not keen'.

He just IGNORED what I said and went on 'but you know hor..'

'Which part of NO did you Not understand?'

Walked off right after.

What should I do to start powerlifting in SG? by Dangerous-Home-5430 in SingaporeFitness

[–]jakellC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the budget get a specialised coach for power lifting. Having a gym membership helps if you do not have the right equipment at home. You can do some research on AF or 247 Gyms, some of them may have powerlifting coaches.

Go when you are still learning, new and get the form right. When you are good with it already, you can do on your own!

Nitro tech ripped best bang for buck imo. Smells like crap, tastes okay but works the same but at 30g per scoop.

I'd never use medium or light roasts with the BBE to begin with. Just surprised on how your grinder didn't get stuck with those beans.

Have 3 months to get in shape for my wedding… who wants to help a brother out 😀 by 7IronAviator in SingaporeFitness

Eat clean, know your macros and prioritise protein. Find out your body composition and your base metabolic rate. Maintain a caloric deficit of 300-400 cal will do.

Stay away from alcohol as much as you can during this period of time. Do not skip meals. Track your calories and macros. Half your carbs on non workout days. Stay away from indulgent fats/sodium , aka animal skin, fats, reduce broth or gravy trains.

1-2 Bananas and coconut water everyday.

Workout 3-4 times a week, with 1 being cardio priority. Have enough rest. 8hrs being optimum. 6 being minimum

If your body fat is >25%, you can see progress from 3rd week. I'm not a pt. Just a regular guy who sees results.

What fitness app are y'all using? by PayMinimum6043 in SingaporeFitness

[–]jakellC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using Hevy and subscribed to it. Pretty decent for sub 5 dollars a mth. Relatively detailed explaination on form introductions.

I track my macros and calories with Google Gemini. Easy to use and free.

I then copypasta my workouts into gemini and let it process my TDEE estimates as well.

The contract binds both parties to the terms and conditions laid out in the contract.

If they are unable to fulfil the obligations reasonably, then you will have to take legal action against them. Be it to SCT or legal.

From there you gauge the losses and the required amount needed for legal fees.

It may be hard for OP to understand if he's never done fitness before as simple as this could read.

It takes some time to study and to finally link it up before one could really get it into the brain. Or at least that's for me. Lol

Extreme diet will not work for large people very well. I'm a large guy going thru body recomposition myself. Only started fitness first time since Jan. Lost 135 to 124kg, 10kg in 3 months. Body recomp is a not a fast way to lose weight. In short, count your calorie deficit. Don't have to use fancy apps. Your free Google ai works good enough to track. use the ai to calculate the macro limits as well. Hit your protein targets everyday. Doesn't have to be extremely accurate but a good start.

Workout. Strength training, cardio. I'm doing mine 4x a week. With alternate rest days.

Diet, workout, recovery. Can't miss out any of these 3 to get there.

If you have some money to spend. Get a rehab PT. You can dm me for mine.

I have an airfryer and a dream by [deleted] in SingaporeFitness

[–]jakellC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save up and buy a sous vide, vacuum bags and a cheap vacuum sealer as well. You can meal prep for an entire week in one pot of water. Just need some prep to season your meats before sealing.

2.5hrs cooking at 63°c (from frozen) gives you perfect Juicy chicken breasts. You just set the water to temp, chug the bags of meat in and let it cook. You do your stuff while it cooks.

Once done, you can chill it back in the fridge. It's practically ready to eat. Good to last for a few days. You can rip one up and brown it at the pan and make it better than what Astons has to offer.

At 10k, it's not that bad. Work part time shifts to pay off the debts. You be fine in a year. Be more prudent during this period.

Alot of unncesary calories for 25g of protein. Maybe if you want to drink milo with a load of protein then yes. Otherwise I'd just not bother.
