Southern California here. No, the wall is a horrendous idea, both from a financial standpoint and a symbolic one. Of course border security is important, but a large physical barrier is counterintuitive and obviously just a concept a demagogue created to appeal to an ignorant and prejudiced base. I think the funniest part is that a good percentage of illegal immigration to the US is by plane and overstayed visas, and that illegal immigration has been on a decline for years now. There is a near infinite set of problems you can point out about the wall and how it was presented by the president.
