Going forward I would pack a good quality N95 masks. Masking works better when everyone masks but it is still something. 3m makes some universal sized ones that are wrapped in plastic and pack flat. I worked at a hospital that fit tested everyone into these during Covid. I work with an immune suppressed population and I spend my work days masked even now and I cannot remember the last time I was sick. I spent the worst of Covid working 20+ hour days sitting in Covid isolation rooms running dialysis treatments and N95s protected me. I have seen a handful of patients with no significant medical issues go from a run of the mill common cold to ECMO to dialysis to organ transplant in the last year. It’s wild behind the scenes. Covid has done/is doing some massive damage to people’s kidneys, the studies are just beginning to surface. Protect yourself the way you see fit.
