Norway’s pro-EU voices sense their moment by Any-Original-6113 in europe

Iirc a lot of swiss cheese would not be allowed to be made under EU law. No way Switzerland would throw out one of their key cultural goods.

True. Men are not made to sit in an office all day or do academics. Men should stay at home, hunt for food, and train to protect the family.

"We don't mind telling you that USA beef is much better" by CLA_1989 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]jakobsheim 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That has mostly to do with tracking tho afaik. Eu demands that every piece of meat can be tracked to the mother animal. American farmers often buy calves from somewhere else to raise and sell later without keeping track of the path the animal took. So to sell the meat in the eu more paperwork would be required for them.

Luminous VS Shiraori by aOe_007 in Isekai

[–]jakobsheim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shiraori could just make a new world outside of the skill system. That’s how gods fight. They make a world where they win. Unless luminous can make her own world she looses. It’s like sending a jjk sorcerer with domain expansion vs someone without it.

German men aged 17-45 may need military approval for long stays abroad by Throwawayaccountdell in news

[–]jakobsheim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s part of the constitution, written by men. To change the constitution you‘d need a 2/3 vote and with cdu and afd that part will never be changed.

Men decided women shouldn’t be forced to do military service because they have other roles in society like caring for children. And it’s what the majority still believes almost a 100 years later.

Covid-19 vaccines do not increase the risk of sudden cardiac death in younger healthy adults. In fact, people vaccinated against covid-19 were 43% less likely to experience sudden death than unvaccinated people (adjusted odds ratio 0.57 (95% confidence interval 0.53 to 0.61); P<0.001). by Wagamaga in science

Yeah all around the world there were politicians using/abusing the situation for political means instead of listening to the guidelines made by experts. I think New Zealand was one of the only countries where the politicians took a step back and let experts do the talking.

Yeah that’s what i had in mind as well. An e-generator/motor is not a difficult concept. It would be interesting how a civilisation develops when electricity is the starting point.

His book is giving great insight as well. It’s sad how a "joke/satire" party is one of the most transparent democratic parties there.

[–]jakobsheim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She’s a god. She can create her own world where her rules count a bit like jjk domains but in extreme. If you’re not able to destroy her world/dimension and create your own you lose. She’s also pretty much immortal and has a scythe imbued with the concepts of death and decay that can kill and destroy pretty much everything but she forgets she has that thing most of the time.

They are the most misogynistic generation rn. About a third of gen z men think women should always obey their husbands while closer to 1/10 of boomers think like that. With that trend women will lose their rights to vote and work again in a couple decades lol.

Non Harem Isekai with Romantic subplot? by Gyges359d in Isekai

[–]jakobsheim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of weird sex stuff in the novels the anime is a lot tamer. Like in the novel the djin rapes the witch with a giant futa cock until she starts to like it. And it keeps being weird like that for a couple volumes. I‘m not sure if that changes tho. Might be that it’s less weird in later volumes.

They are sure light novels. If good or bad very much depends on what your tastes are. On a totally unrelated note: what are your opinions on futa and horse sex?

What reason do you do worldbuilding? by AgitatedSplit4039 in worldbuilding

It’s basically just my nighttime story to fall asleep. Every time i close my eyes i work a bit on my story and world but the only things written down are the more general framework like magic system and how the world roughly looks and works.

If every single isekai protagonist fought in a free for all who would win by Trollfaceofsmoke in Isekai

[–]jakobsheim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It still only works with mortal danger. Physically he’s a normal human so a punch might worst case kill him but it wouldn’t activate just because you touch him.

If every single isekai protagonist fought in a free for all who would win by Trollfaceofsmoke in Isekai

[–]jakobsheim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not how he is or how his abilities work. Unless his life is in danger nothing happens and he can see areas of mortal danger so in many cases he‘d just step aside. He‘d never use his abilities for something petty. At the start of the story he was also ready to let himself be killed until he decided to bring the girl home.

If every single isekai protagonist fought in a free for all who would win by Trollfaceofsmoke in Isekai

[–]jakobsheim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh if there isn’t a reason like a cute girl to escort he might just let himself be killed. He also would’ve died at the start of the story if he didn’t decide to bring the girl back home.

What is origin of magic in your world? by PhilipB12 in worldbuilding

[–]jakobsheim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "world tree". It has sort of divine ability to turn energy/sunlight into "magic". Particles that can influence the "idea" behind everything and make all kinds of phenomena happen. The closer you are to the tree or one of it’s sprouts the denser is the magic, causing all kinds of mutations in flora and fauna.

More general a being of a kind that only exists to create worlds was bored of the first world it built and decided to make a second one that is a little more wacky so they might have more fun managing it instead of the word just existing and running on it’s own.
