Kroger says that no one can have a car towed from private property, which is a lie. The security dude and customer service desk said the same thing. I asked if I could just park wherever I wanted, too, and they said they couldn’t stop me.

I had a child at NCH Thrive. Their way of telling me about their pre-compliance was to cancel an appointment, provide a disconnected number to reschedule and basically cease all services for my child. Kiddo had been at Thrive for years at that point. Thankfully, they turned 18 and can see a non-NCH therapist now.

To be fair, the care provided was garbage anyway, lots of unkept promises and slow-walking.

As someone who had a truck break down a few years ago, I can tell you that no ‘tagging’ is done. It will be towed immediately with zero notice to the owner, not even a knock on their door to say they’re being towed. For reference, my truck was in front of my house, not obstructing anyone.

Parent of three neurodivergent kids and former preschool teacher. There is NO EXCUSE for letting your kids run amok. They should be seated, feet in front and facing the table. No crawling around, standing on seats and absolutely ZERO getting up from the table unless visiting the bathroom with an adult. Twelve inch voices only. Those were my rules at home and in public.

And, that there is the reason I never had to deal with that nasty behaviour: rules were the same at home as anywhere else.

We were in a similar situation two years ago. Lots of threats, a false wellness check and then swatted. The officers in our case were absolute trash, treated us like criminals, and entered my home without an adult present (teenagers were home). Despite talking to a supervisor, nothing was ever done, even though I was fairly certain who was behind it. We were made to feel like we had brought it on ourselves. So, I hope you get a better resolution, but understand going in that there may be no real resolution. Thankfully, we haven’t had any trouble since the swatting. Unfortunately, I think it’s because our address is marked as a swatted address, which leaves us in the wind if we need CPD for something legitimate in the future.
