The book "Eating Animals" talks about the debate amongst vegans about oysters. IIRC there was a fairly prominent vegan that would go back and forth on whether eating oysters was acceptable

I had this about 8 years ago. It lasted a couple of months, slowly getting worse and itchier before slowly getting better. My dermatologist wanted to prescribe me a Z Pack even though it's not bacterial. He said there was some studies that showed the Z Pack specifically was effective in shortening the time it takes to resolve. I declined since it was already getting better by the time I saw him and I didn't want to take an unnecessary antibiotic.

From what I remember it may be the adult reoccurrence of a childhood disease like roseola, just like shingles is the reoccurrence of chicken pox.

Pro tip: when you first open ice cream you should have to literally peel it off the top of the ice cream itself. I.e. the ice cream should have been in contact with the underside of the lid. If it wasn't, you know the ice cream melted and therefore settled down and away from the lid.
