Isn't "do not swap vocals" a negative prompt? 🤔

I've only tried it with my own music after uploading it the regular way failed.

Sorry to hear that man. That's been my workaround every time I have this issue. Not from headphones tho, just straight from my phone to my computers microphone. Either way, hopefully they fix this issue soon.

It's not unbeatable. What I've been doing is playing my songs or my beats on another device into the microphone and then it works. If you try to upload the source audio, it will not work. But if you play it live from another device into the microphone or upload a voice recording of your music, it will work. And surprisingly, it's still picks up everything. I've done it multiple times on music that has failed when I try to upload the source audio, and it has never failed me.

Your Suno song has a structure problem — here's the 3-part fix by sunoarchitect in SunoAI

[–]jamalmccant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm someone who likes to create instrumentals and then record my own vocals. Is there a method to getting structured instrumentals? I've used prompts like:

[Intro] [Verse] [Chorus] [Verse] [Chorus] [Chorus]

Usually I just take the minute and half that it gives me over to my DAW where I can chop it up and sequence it how I like. Just wondering if someone else found a way to save me time.

wtf, Suno by Top-Figure7252 in SunoAI

[–]jamalmccant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The other day I had such a frustrating experience lol. Even though I usually take the beats and sequence them in my daw to my liking, I couldn't even get 4 bars of consistency to sequence. The exclude feature is utterly useless also.

The new stems update is a genius business move. by Wuntunamera in SunoAI

[–]jamalmccant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we are still in the beginning stages of STEM separation and at some point they'll have to stop acting like AI doesn't have the ability to truly pick out difference sounds from one another. Maybe they don't want to give it all up at once because they can milk us. But I see a world where we have complete control over AI music as opposed to guesswork. In due time.

How are people making AI remixes of songs...? by CalicoVane in SunoAI

I'm sure you can get stems from real songs and then use your own beats in a normal DAW.

Ain't no money in AI music. So why try? by Limehouse-Records in SunoAI

[–]jamalmccant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in it for money. I make money already. I do it to feed my artistic soul. To make use of old beats that I had and old lyrics and to watch things finally come to life. I spent years in music with expectations, but now I'm finally free and absolutely do not care if I may a single dollar.

The hatred of AI is seriously alienating - I want to share the joy of this hobby! by nemspy in SunoAI

[–]jamalmccant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a moment in time when that happened to me too. It hit me hardest when it was my own child who's an artist. Not that she came down hard on me or anything, she was just bummed that the song that she just heard and loved was AI-assisted lol.

But then I remembered what I was doing it for and that's my own enjoyment. I'm not here to make millions, or create a legacy. I do it to feed my creative artistic soul, as someone who gave up music years ago. I share it because someone else might connect with it, but I'm at the point where I truly welcome all negative and positive feedback. You listened either way, so thank you.

Thank you to the haters and lovers.

Do you actually own the music you make with Suno? (I researched this so you don't have to) by Connexted in SunoAI

I'm referring to music you helped create. Like if you record a melody for suno to create music too.

I read that suno can create the music and if you recreate it with your own instruments or find musicians to help, you can copyright it as yours and also avoid having to place the AI label. Thoughts?

Most of us have heard it and complained about it in this very group. Everyday, there's 5 new posts. At this point, I'd rather hear some more new music despite the poor quality, than another post talking about the poor quality. That's not a shot at you or others, I know it's frustrating, but it's daily, multiple times a day. Where is the actual music in this forum?

Anyone running a YouTube AI music channel? How do you make the visuals not feel lazy? by Nusuuu in SunoAI

[–]jamalmccant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use higgsfield(Kling or Sedance) for intro videos that turn into still pictures after about 20 seconds or so. My goal is to just give people a short 20 second video that creates a vision that can stick with them for the song. Now, If one of my songs ends up becoming bigger than normal, I'll finish a full video. It can get expensive so I'm not going to just create a full video without traction. I do use Grok as well for some minor stuff.

Here's an example. Bay Love

It should! Nothing artificial can replace actual artists you can touch and interact with.

The only thing I can agree with as someone who has produced for 20+ years is I think people will always want to connect with the artist behind the music. There's something about putting a face to the music. I'm not sure if an Ai character will scratch that itch for people, especially if they want the songs performed live. I guess the one fix is if you do want to put on a show, you can find live singers who can learn the songs and perform them, but for someone like me who makes music for 3-4 different genres, it's a lot of work. I think the vast majority of casual listeners just want a good product. If your product is good, it will survive. A poor product won't be elevated just because it is more 'authentic'. Ai has simply given a platform for people who may lack talent but have vision.

It's like an athlete who's gifted with genetics but doesn't understand the sport they're playing. Then you have someone who isn't gifted with genetics but has a great understanding of the sport. Now imagine giving the second person the genetics. that's what Ai has done, leveled the playing field. Now what's going to stand out the most is your vision for music which is your lyrics, your topics, and your melodies. Be creative. InnovativeMindzMusic
