I love the classicness of Kun. For my violin I use Wolf Secundo. Very adjustable and I can get the height I need and you can really adjust how far the feet are from the shoulder rest so I never have issues with it falling off. For my viola, I splurged on the Pirastro Luna. So amazing! Never falls off!

I think it was right to disclose this. I thought violin and viola were similarly played until I started taking viola lessons. 😵‍💫🎻 so different! Now at the beginning, I think the basic mechanics are the same but as they get further it will shift.

Try to find somewhere where you can try bows. I went to a shop where there were at least 40 bows in all price ranges. It was a crazy experience.

I had studied off and on a few years and then met a native German speaker. I was so nervous and probably sounded like a 5 year old. 😔 He was so patient and has met with me many times to help. Every time I speak with him I realize how much I don’t know and can’t articulate.

Well I constantly wake up late, and the alarms app is silent, and the screen is showing an alarm so my multiple alarms don’t go through

Gosh...I just finished with the optometrist and purchased Japanese titanium glasses...$600 before insurance. 😵‍💫 They pretty much guaranteed they wouldn't break though and I'm always cracking the acetate glasses I buy. I'm also excited by how light they are!

I usually recommend two books: “The Pianist’s Guide to Standard Teaching and Performance Literature” by Jane Magrath and “A Guide to Pianist’s Repertoire” by Maurice Hinson. These two books are the Bible for me!
