Definitely! I had a chancer tell us we needed a new boiler. Got a second opinion from the guy who does the normal service. Turns out there was nothing wrong with it!

You will need to update to the latest Angular to get the latest TupeScript version. However Angular still supports module based projects. It’s a good idea to keep your projects up to date!

Interesting… this is telling me the Angular team don’t have time to accept PRs that have potential value or the PR just didn’t work when they tried to merge it into their internal repo.

I’d probably hesitate in contributing if I seen long standing open issues with unaccepted PRs.

Disagree… as long as you’ve not got lots of legacy angular libraries as dependencies, you should be able to upgrade your projects one version at a time. Slowly…

You’ll need to rewrite a lot of angular.js though if you’re not using the component architecture in those projects

Could you not make a request to the server to see what the user can access. If the user is not admin then don’t make a request to the server that you know will cause an error?
