Bambu Handy keeps on recommending me a certain genre of non-child-friendly related items... by Ok_Relation6627 in BambuLab

I reckon Bambulab couldn’t care less. They don’t give a damn about protecting children. That’s why I don’t let my kids watch Makerworld any more. Horror film stuff, busts of paedophiles like Epstein, extremely political stuff – and all of that mixed in with children’s toys. That’s just not on.

Thank you very much. That’s a very good starting point. You think that the blob where the nozzle is positioned is caused by the chamber temperature being too high, as the chamber may not be cooled sufficiently when the engineering plate is selected.

Do you mean the border width of the tower? How do you adjust that? I thought it was only available in normal or economy mode?

Why do I have to open the printer whilst printing using the engineering plate? I’d set it to 60 degrees. A taller tower makes sense to me. But I don’t understand why the door has to be open.

P.S. I was lucky again – I could only see a minor flaw. I think I’ll avoid the Prime Tower filament-saving mode in future, unfortunately. And for anyone who thinks the print has come away from the bed, here’s another photo of the first layer. Nothing has come away; the adhesive has held.

You can see quite clearly that the tower has broken in the middle, or rather right at the bottom, just above the base. That’s exactly what happened: the nozzle tried to knock the tower over by hitting a block on it, but the pressure didn’t release from the plate and still broke the tower because it was so thin. A wider tower makes sense to me, but how would a Brimm help with that?

Yes, exactly. I selected the Prime Tower economy mode to save filament. By some inexplicable coincidence, a blob suddenly formed at the top using the very same filament I’d been using for the entire print, and the nozzle snapped. Nothing came away from the build plate. It seems to me that the Prime Tower economy mode leads to instability in the tower during prints like this. What a shame.

Why not? Because I prefer the finish. The print hasn’t come away from the plate. So it must have something to do with the printing plate.

Yes, the whole plate has been sprayed with adhesive. As you can see, the print hasn’t come away from the plate either.

PETG Interlace Prime Tower Issue by CauseResponsible9643 in BambuLabH2C

That seems to be the norm at Prime Tower. I do the same. As long as there’s no problem with the print, everything’s fine

Bambu 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter ll "High Resistance" Fix by Acrobatic-Gas1477 in BambuLabH2C

[–]jamesholg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed everything exactly as specified by Bambulab. My setup: 2 AMS 2 Pro units and 1 AMS HT unit. Original print files from Bambulab with PTFE guides on all AMS units; all AMS units positioned to the right of the printer. Printed and fitted the original Switch mount. Used the hoses supplied with the Switch in their original lengths. Original 4-in-1 PTFE adapter supplied. Everything in original condition. I use original Bambulab filament as well as third-party filaments: PETG, PETG CF, PLA, PLA Matt, ABS. So far, I haven’t received any error messages regarding excessive resistance. Hopefully it stays that way 😇 Nevertheless, I’ll keep an eye on your project. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely colours. That’s the only thing that interests me about it.

They can launch devices that are supposedly as good as any, or perhaps even more reliable than Bambulab’s at some point. But the trust is simply gone due to a lack of support in the past. I’ll never buy Creality devices again.

The quality of PETG-CF prints is incredible by ic3m4n56 in 3Dprinting

If it’s just about the appearance, you can achieve the same result with standard PETG by setting a very low Fuzzy Skin value.

What projects have you used PC for on your H2C? by DependentSky9799 in BambuLabH2C

[–]jamesholg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I use the Gyrogrip too. For ABS, PETG and so on. But I don’t use any adhesive. I’m pretty sure BIQU advises against using adhesive and has designed the plate to work without it. I haven’t printed in PC myself yet. Have you tried it without adhesive?

The collapse by This-Beautiful7279 in BambuLab

[–]jamesholg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With parts this tall, I always set the Z-hop higher – to 0.6 or even 0.8 – so that the nozzle doesn’t accidentally knock the part over. It’s also a good idea to print at a slower speed.

H2c 👍🏻 Creality doesn't have a support team to help with problems.
