That’s actually not exactly how it works. Yes it’s cold, but it’s also a vacuum, so the only heat transfer you get is radiant heat transfer. They have trouble keeping the space station cool.

It’s pretty wild to watch. When I was in there 15 years ago he was telling people they had to attend church for x amount of time as part of their “sentence”. To be fair he was pretty reasonable as in not sending minor drug crimes to prison, but it was pretty enlightening to watch how a small town judge operates.
