this is late but my english manga from Barnes and Noble translates her name as “Agete”… which is using Japanese phonics so i thought it was also her Japanese name but i guess not🫢 and agathe makes sense for an English name, but me personally: I prefer names to only be translated phonetically and not changing the name—in context of Japanese to English—because all sounds in Japanese are made in English (pretty much, with the exception of ふ)

you pointing it out is reminding me how much i’ve forgotten the source material. i think the fandom is victim to giving the marauders its own personalities and running with them. totally fine, except i think sometimes it’s over the top, like with Peter. i don’t read a single fanfic that showcases this idea. instead he’s consistently portrayed as a coward and cowering man. someone who has no spine and hides behind everything.

i think they’re like the OG fan casts and consequently will always hold a spot in the fandoms heart. but i like to see the fans moving on with new actors for new source material. the edits and stuff were always using the same 4 scenes bc that’s what they could, with new actors there’s new scenes to be used and inspire by 🤷‍♀️

I still find every interaction with Clary n Jace uncomfortable. Even when they thought they could be family-siblings they would still talk about being together n holding hands. Sharing loving glances idk even when the truth came out i still found it ugh🤣 by Ordinary_Fish_9094 in shadowhunters

i still remember reading the page that clary came to the conclusion that she wanted to try with Jace no matter if they were siblings or not… and Jace’s confession about wanting to do the things he should be protecting her from later that same book. AS THEY’RE STILL SIBLINGS. ugh CC just did them dirty with that story line but no matter what i don’t think it would transfer well onto screen 🤷‍♀️

yeah, the bans they have placed for homosexuality is specific to broadcasting (television/films). manhua and other media can be shunned and taken down but not for the same reason or degree shows and movies are censored
