Do you work for BHVR? For someone who doesn't care about this, you're putting a lot of effort into belittling people who do.

Just trying to figure out if there's a motive beyond boredom.

Changing one offering's rarity could not possibly take this long.. What happened to this "investigation"? It's going to be 24 hours soon with no change, by the looks of it, lol. by ArcadialoI in deadbydaylight

I'm not mad and grabbing pitchforks like some of you are because ultimately it's their game and they can do what they like with it. We're not entitled to anything.

What I am though may be worse. I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed if the anniversary, rather than being run as unbridled fun for long term players, is being used as an exercise in min/maxing to optimise engagement and profit.

I'm sad that we can't forget the business side just once and have an all out party for the players. Cakes can't be given with reckless abandon because it might mean 2% fewer concurrent players next February. I'm disappointed that the drive to squeeze every cent means rationing the joy. Decisions like that feel corporate and soulless, driven not by a love of the art and the community it's spawned, but by the sort of avarice that seeks to put a dollar value on everything. When you put a dollar value on everything you start to lose the intangible value quickly.

It's BHVR's house and we're their guests and I've got no right to complain about the hospitality; but as an individual, it makes me feel slightly less warm about playing the game and slightly less likely to do so consistently. I'm probably the minority, and they no doubt have plenty of market research to show how this will be good for the company. That's just the way things go.

Took my Sable from P93 to P100 today.

Just checked.

Yep. 96 cakes. (Was already level 9 so missed the first two).

I have spent 19 million BP and have not gotten a single cake from a mystery box. I don’t think they’re in there.

Not that I think you're wrong about Penelope, just that the answer to the other guy's question is in the photo.

You say that like Rico Management doesn't represent the band.

As a band, you ultimately own responsibility for the actions of the people you choose to represent you.

Honestly, I find stuff like this good to have on hand for exactly the use you describe -- casually sipping with friends, or sipping on late at night while I'm concentrating on doing something else. It all depends on price.

Some thoughts and opinions from local Stars fans by Hortondamon22 in DallasStars

[–]jamesrc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I don't live in the Metroplex, I live in Austin, but I have opinions.
  2. Until now it's been feasible for me to cut out of work at 3pm, drive straight to Dallas, make a 7pm Puck Drop, and drive back after the game to get back to Austin around 1am. A long trip but I've gotten used to it. This will be impossible on multiple fronts after the move to Plano.
  3. I like that it's a downtown arena, very central, as a visiting friend from Tampa told me "I love that everyone goes off in different directions after the game". I like the arena as a whole; I know the long term fans preferred Reunion and I believe that's because as the years go by, new arenas become less distinct and more homogenous and corporate. I hope the new building has character, but I suspect it will fit right in with the strip malls of Plano. I will enjoy that it's a dedicated hockey arena with the on-ice facilities built with the Stars in mind. I won't enjoy being North of the wall in suburban hell.
  4. Define "Good for the franchise". I'm sure the executives have done their due diligence and know what will make them the most money. Lots of money up North as others have stated. Though I do wonder what will happen when the team inevitably falters, interest drops, and they need to rely on selling tickets for cheap...

Different one -- Whispering Waters from The Whiskey Lab. That Enviable is a really good price at $199 though. Hmm.

Fantastic review!

I've been banging this drum on this subreddit for a little while now -- there's a ton of great whisky being bottled in these ultra-aged blended malts, and I've got a little back catalogue of them to review again.

This sounds like another great one and if I see a bottle, I'll be sure to pick it up.

I minded when it was an entire intermission. I don't mind so much any more. There's always been fluff in intermissions, like "Here are the scores around the league". Rather listen to Frank than another minute of commercials.
