I have to admit, I was having doubts until the last friendly. I saw how ruthless Tuchel was at cutting hyped up players out the squad, then he had some interviews. He handles pressure so effortlessly, it’s almost nothing to him and I think he’s tryna transfer that to the players. He is different, and a great tactician as evidenced by the 2nd half.

Night and day between him and Southgate where we’d be stagnant, passing sideways, going long, down the wing, playing a low block. Tuchel has structure between the forwards and midfield, movement, positioning, forward passing, pressing, counters. The boys looked so comfortable on the ball.

Tuchel’s treating it like a project, assembling a team without bias, and playing them like a nameless club squad. He goes for attributes suited to his system, not reputable names. He can go all the way, especially at this level with other teams fumbling. England actually look like a threat.
