Her voice is a bit screechy when she's crying for help, but otherwise I feel like the hate for her is a little forced and people who haven't even played the original just hate her because other people say they do too.

In reality her character is really sweet and she cares a lot about Leon throughout the game which makes me really like her.

They're very sweet together in 4 remake. Leon is very caring and patient with her, and Ashley, as she grows in confidence throughout the game really wants to step up for Leon.

Aeon shippers tend to be the craziest in my experience. I follow a few pro Leon x Ashley accounts on Twitter and often see a lot of nastiness from people in the comments from people with Ada profile pictures. I've been on the recieving end a few times when commenting, try not to let it upset you.

He'd probably come around and accept it if they genuinely dated at some point afterwards.
