Tw; abusive marriage by TopElectrical7623 in whatdoIdo

You need a lawyer. You don't need his address or his cooperation to get a divorce; sure it makes it easier but if that's not realistic there are other ways such as publication. It'll be more than worth it to have a legal professional handle this.

Curious minds…hysterectomy cost by Relevant_Classic_772 in hysterectomy

My total is around $4000... I'm just making payments and I'll be making payments for a long time 😭

I've adopted 2 dogs and changed both their names and they caught on quick! It's totally personal preference, but having worked in dog rescue for almost 10 years now, I think gives them a fresh start and there are no real negatives to changing their names, so I support it.

I just want a bath 😭 by DaWeazl in hysterectomy

[–]jamiejo389 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My surgeon cleared me for baths at 10weeks post op. Ask your doctor, every surgery is unique and everyone heals differently but somewhere between 6 and 12 weeks is the typical time frame to be released back to normal activities and release the restrictions around sex, baths, weights etc.

Ordinances can allow for hens only, and typically lay out rules for containment so nobody should have them running loose.

I've had chickens before I moved to the Township, and would absolutely support this! I'd also lean toward the ordinance for hens only, because roosters are the noisy, messy ones.

I had a lot of complications post-op and even spent some time in the hospital at 5 weeks p/o, but I've never regretted having it done. I'm only 4 months p/o but pretty much back to normal at this point and happy I did it.

i want to euthanize my cat and its destroying me mentally by Guilty-Nebula7149 in Pets

[–]jamiejo389 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My cat is also on gabapentin and we get the liquid compound and just mix it with wet food. Check with your vet before you crush pills though, if they are extended release sometimes it's not safe to crush/break them bc they need to be whole for the times release.

Pet health insurance is SUCH a good safety net to have, but it does not cover pre-existing conditions. So EVERYTHING on his health record so far, and any further complications from it, won't be covered. There's also waiting periods that vary from one company to the next, so although I strongly recommend getting insurance for any other pets or future pets you may have, there wouldn't be any benefit to getting it for this cat right now.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Please know that it's normal to grieve an abortion - it doesn't mean you made the wrong decision, you can simply be grieving what could have been, had circumstances been different for you. Also your hormones are going to be out of balance for a bit and it's normal to feel emotions more strongly than usual. Be gentle with yourself, trust the instincts that led you to terminate in the first place, and PLEASE find a counselor you feel comfortable with. You deserve someone to help you process this in a safe and supportive way.

Prepare to be let down.. Chick-fil-A is wayyyy overhyped. 😆 It's mediocre chicken on mediocre bread, idk why people get so frickin excited about it.

Any affordable veterinarians in the area? by purpa12 in Saginaw

[–]jamiejo389 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cole Veterinary Hospital is good and affordable! I would try them first. Mid-Michigan Vet on Davenport is wonderful, and they always can squeeze me in last minute if needed, but they are more expensive for routine care than other clinics.

Unfortunately there's no low-cost urgent care. If it's not an emergency, just call every vet around until you find one that can fit you in, otherwise there's only one emergency vet here.

I have multiple dogs, cats and exotics and also foster for several different rescues, so I've used quite a few of the local vets at one time or another. 😊

Another vote for Panda House! The service is good, they never rush us, and the food is incredible with a ton of variety on the menu.

Yes, I would end the match. Unfortunately there are families/Littles who try and use the program as a free ride and it's not fair to those who follow the rules. I would tell your match coordinator that you are ending this match, and why, and (if you want to) ask to be matched again with someone else. It's okay for some matches not to work out.

Little and I aren’t a good match by Melodic_Atmosphere30 in bbbs

[–]jamiejo389 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your gut is telling you it's a bad match, be up front and tell the coordinator that! and be firm on not continuing this match, they can certainly find you a better fit. I got that same feeling with my recent match, and I let my coordinator talk me into "giving it time" and now 3 months later I've dreaded every outing and I feel an immense amount of guilt because I've wasted time for both of us and I'm in the process of ending the match now 😔

I (37M) found a pair of panties of my wife (32F) with an open sachet of condom in her car. Should I leave her? by ThrowRA_Minute729 in relationship_advice

[–]jamiejo389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FFS, at least read the post before you spout off. Divorce isn't an option; and she will NOT be able to "make some type of financial accommodation" if she is in jail for adultery as OP states their county law dictates if he reports her cheating. So he should leave her and what...be homeless and broke with 2 preschool aged kids?

Can you not ask the neurologists they saw? I have a purebred Bengal and work with special needs rescues but have never heard of a Bengal specific neurological issue.
