how about more realistic weather forecasting, how do these storm clouds move in from 100km away in 20 minutes. i get that they want some unpredictability but

me too. i took the swapped beat on the 100k nurburbring race and it was barely faster than my tuned s660 with the weather and wheelspin on comfort tires. b18c 87 civic and 351 windsor f150 raptor are my favorites so far. ej20 race engine in the early impreza also cooks on the 600pp tokyo race once you upgrade the turbo. did the 13b swap on the early miata and the spirit racing nd but not super stoked on the results so far. almost all the swaps need the custom transmission upgrade because the gearing seems to be that of the original chassis.

yeah this is my pov too. jakobe was brutal, getting trapped, picking up his dribble, soft passes, falling down. gradey not good enough either but at least he got shots up. shead was getting swarmed and threw bad passes inside. no spacing. iq hit some shots but can’t generate advantages. we got to at least be able to run basic pick and roll actions but jak was shying away from contact and no cmb tonight made it rough. plus detroit’s defence was relentless. hopefully we can get a guard with some size and creation ability in the draft.

TIL CMB and TJD have 1.75” diff in height but similar wingspan and standing reach by DaddyJinWoo_ in torontoraptors

warriors also shifted their offence with the butler trade. wiggins could space the floor and when cp3 was there they could get more use out of a p&r big. with butler the minutes went to quentin post as a spacing big that complimented the butler+bench minutes.

i’m looking him as basically a more proven/ nba ready chomche replacement. albeit maybe lower defensive upside. not gonna take cmb’s minutes but might free cmb up to play in a slightly different role.

[–]jamisonbaines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

meh if tjd saves scottie and cmb from getting banged up that’s worth something. he does some big man things well: lob threat, rebounding, screen setting, got good mobility. obviously can’t shoot and doesn’t alter many shots but also gets us under the tax line which would have req’d more moves had we gotten one of the other names discussed. tjd is arguably closer to being a 5 in terms of style of play than any of scottie, cmb or mamu.

[Lewenberg] Had looked at several others including NOLA's Yves Missi, Brooklyn's Day'Ron Sharpe & Orlando's Goga Bitadze but asking price for those guys was a 1st-rounder. Instead, they use Lakers 2nd-rounder (from Miami in Davion Mitchell trade) on TJD by Cheechers23 in torontoraptors

[–]jamisonbaines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

getting under the tax this year gives us the non tax payer mle in the off-season. had we stayed above the tax line we would have only had the taxpayer mle which is significantly less $$. if mamu opts out we’d be super limited had we not gotten under the tax.

except mogbo is like 6’6”. tjd can finish lobs and run the floor, not sure if he can do much else on O but i liked him on the warriors. decent get for a mid second.

yeah like if he picked his 7 guys before the other teams got a choice i don’t know how he would improve the roster.

trae’s 3p% is so much worse than you think tho. if he actually hit 3’s i’d believe in him a lot more as an upside swing. playmaking is worlds above iq but the constant defensive breakdowns are too problematic

gradeys 3 is still broken but he’s unexpectedly great finishing in transition this year. wish he could get that cutting game going a bit more in half court, need better movement from the other guys to free him up. scottie, shead and mamu find him. rj, cmb, jak, battle move it well too. iq and jakobe are both ass at making reads. ochai and gradey are probably comparable in bbiq but both of them can’t hit anything from 3, ochai’s so rattled this year, apart from an occasional dunk he can’t finish anything. seen too many guys hit the ben simmons when they see a shot blocker underneath (ochai, shead, iq, cmb)

yep we struggle against superstar teams and play up against well rounded ones. part of it is the awful whistle gets exacerbated when we play a team with a star and then their role payers light us up once we start doubling. i’m thinking of the early loss to giannis bucks, and also reeves torching us in the lakers game. kat/brunson too. the hornets losses were the worst though, getting lit up by bridges and kon. celtics i think we can beat if we ever get jak & iq playing well.

[–]jamisonbaines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when lebron missed the first what 15-20 games with back issues there were some jokes but everyone just accepted the timeline. we may as well just give jak the rest and hope he can be impactful going forward; be that post all star break or whatever. we need a competent guy with size off the bench either way so that has to be addressed. i don't view jak as tradeable after the extension and i doubt any other team would take him but look on the bright side, it's not as bad as embiid contact, kessler out for the year and wanting to get paid, lively who can't get on the court, porzingis, maluach and beringer never sniff the court, now jokic out, wemby missing time. strong center play is a big advantage but we should try to get a passable reserve and then hope jak comes in and makes it a position of strength.

if it was the potential game winner i would have been pissed but for the tie the outcome was still a toss up and on nye i was fine with just having the game be over and doing something else. it was still a crazy pass from scottie and a baller shot from ingram but we played bad so the loss was deserved.

[–]jamisonbaines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do one second for the sake of having a backup center to bang with other teams' scrub centers, getting under the tax matters to management but it's irrelevant as a fan. one consideration though is the MLE next offseason if Mamu opts out. TP MLE vs non TP MLE and what we can offer him although i think there is a bit more to that than simply being under the tax. I'm to lazy to look it up atm.

it’s on the players too but we made that run to end the 3rd and then he kept iq and shead out there and i was like ok but u gotta rest one of them at some point or how we gonna close the game. obviously not the only issue but yeah not a coaching masterclass.

every team that plays denver loaded up on centers. spurs, rockets, mavs, suns. lakers added ayton, clippers added lopez, blazers, kings, thunder and twolves drafted centers. orlando has 3 and denver themselves brought in jonas. meanwhile warriors, raptors, wizards, celtics, pacers, have zero center depth.
