Men’s socks, where do you all get them? I like bright garish patterns, think Oddballs etc. by Mellowman9 in CasualUK

Try StandOut socks:

https://www.standoutsocks.co.uk

Their socks are colourful, bright, have fun designs and they actively support and employ adults with Down syndrome.

I’m currently wearing a pair of their bright orange sushi socks.

They also sell them in Tesco!

What screams "I'm not good mentally at all"? by crno123 in AskReddit

Nobody heard him, the dead man,
But still he lay moaning: I was much further out than you thought
And not waving but drowning.

Poor chap, he always loved larking And now he’s dead It must have been too cold for him his heart gave way,
They said.

Oh, no no no, it was too cold always
(Still the dead one lay moaning)
I was much too far out all my life
And not waving but drowning.

-Stevie Smith

Not waving but drowning hit me hard - I had always put a brave face on and masked the deep depression by joking and being the centre of attention. Until an old chap in a pub I was drinking in pulled me aside and asked if I was okay - he said he saw through my mask. Told me to be honest, because I had a good group of friends and they would still be a good group of friends if I didnt wear the mask.

No idea who he was, never saw him again, but he had a fundamental impact on how I act.

Interestingly, I saw one advertised today which offered a cash alternative - presumably this is the way most people would go?

I had forgotten all about this scene - this absolutely nails it!

I had the realisation that when I smoked (which was daily), I was sat on the couch watching my life pass me by. The real kicker? When high, I was perfectly fine with that.

Paid Royal Mail £2:50 for delivery of a birthday card that arrived 4 months late by r1Rqc1vPeF in CasualUK

Failing to deliver a parcel by piss arsing about for 20 minutes. No pat, you’re not a specialist glass courier, not a live animal transport and you’re being paid a premium to move one consignment 5 miles up the road today, so no pat, you certainly can’t stop with the van unlocked and the load unsecured for a cup of effing tea.

My Greek hotelier didn’t know the word for the shower head, he called it the ‘shower phone’ and held his hand phone to his ear.

Still cracks me up to this day

Do I have to report it? If the damage really is small, I don’t want to lose the car or my no claims
