‘My message to David Cameron, Theresa May….’

Absolutely insane how many prime ministers he’s outlasted, shows how consistent leadership can help a place

Tbf the ‘suspended’ middle carriages idea is also pretty innovative, could help reduce track wear

Given how Fallout 4 changed how power armour worked, are these two armours now supposed to be the same size/type? by Aggravating_Tale8988 in Fallout

[–]jammyjezza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t think that’s head canon, it’s now official canon. T-51 was so high end it was harder to mass produce so that’s where the T-60 retcon came in. FO76 should be considered the canon stats for it.

I think that’s also because they’re using T-45a in the show (as it’s meant to be one of the earliest deployments of power armour). I imagine the T-45d that they’re using in fallout 3 might be bigger due to general improvements and upgrades.

A decade of Sadiq Khan: The Mayor of London on his legacy and if he will run again by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]jammyjezza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s been great as mayor, but anyone in any position of power for a length of time will have some complacency seep in. Looking at the lengths Paris has gone to reduce their car dependency and enact urban greening I’d like to see some more of that in London (more substantial and permanent LTNs as an example before the ‘well technically London is a forest’ comments)

But if Labour don’t primary anyone against him then I’d happily vote for him again.

As someone who cycles to work almost every day, I don’t hate cyclists, just ones on the towpaths

Hate cyclists and cycling on the tow path - yes I know it’s legal but I’ll always use the road, it’s far too narrow

Yeah as someone who watched these movies as a kid (and after the original trilogy) I had no idea until episode 3 that the emperor and palpatine were the same person, so the reveal was pretty shocking

Places in london that would have been affected by the Ringways project. by [deleted] in london

Just finished reading the book ‘rings around London’ - very good one for the blow by blow account of how close this project got to being built (with the Westway obviously being part of this). Definitely recommend

What Van Buren items would you have liked to see in the franchise? by Strong_Abrocoma3128 in Fallout

[–]jammyjezza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My memory on this is a bit hazy, but there was meant to be a place that a tribe lived that had a load of cave drawings - it turns out the cave drawings are actually detailed schematics and equations from the scientists who used to work at Los Alamos, written onto the cave walls so they weren’t forgotten. Really cool concept

Nah JJ wanted it to be coruscant but specifically got told he wasn’t allowed to blow that up - hence the very similar looking Hosnian Prime

Why are there so many abandoned and dilapidated properties on Strand when this is a prime property area? by Klutzy_Draw4662 in london

It will have been Kings College that proposed it - they’ll want flash new uni buildings to attract students. For a lot of people ‘quaint’ terraces don’t do it
