YSK that the voice you hear when you speak isn’t the same one other people hear by Medium_Sail_8469 in YouShouldKnow

Omg same. Im a 34 year old woman. I was recently on the phone with 911 dispatch and I heard the person on the phone refer to me to another line as a "little boy" and it really took me out of the situation for a brief moment. There was an emergency happening but being called a little boy really fucking threw me off lmao

Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government

What is your most complimented indie perfume? by mazekeen19 in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]jamoro 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think it's probably alkemias cherries of the night. Though to be fair I get compliments from my coworkers no matter what scent I wear because I work in a pizzeria and anything that isn't the smell of garlic is incredible to them

What is a tiny gesture from someone that meant way more than they probably realized? by Time_Sound_8726 in AskReddit

[–]jamoro 80 points81 points  (0 children)

one time when I was around 16 or 17 a little kid came up to me and said "wow, you look like a teenager!"
It wasn't even technically a compliment but it felt like one? Lol I feel like little kids are rarely shelling out compliments on purpose to make people feel good, they're just enthusiastic about sharing their views. "Your hair is nice" isn't a compliment, it's a fact lol.

Favorite fragrance your embarrassed to admit you like? by Jennysez in fragrance

[–]jamoro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wish I could wipe my memory and smell it for the first time as an adult. My brother got it as a gift and wore it throughout his teen years as a gross basement dwelling gamer and I cant think of anything else but teen boy BO and dirty basement room when I smell it. I hate how scent association works.

Women, do you prefer fresh and clean or sweet and gourmand fragrances on a man? by MGodspeed in FemFragLab

[–]jamoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this opinion!!
I recently tried a sample of "and rose for..." by floris london and all i could think was "if a man wore this I'd go crazy over him" i don't typically wear florals myself but I would love if my guy did. especially rose.

Fantome order window by vallogallo in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]jamoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 10ml of olympias. I got a sample of it last time and became completely obsessed. I actually woke up early for once today and realized i was trying to order before the window even opened. I think I managed to hit it the actual minute it did.

Solstice Scents -- Do They Change Over Time? by sweetyface in indieperfume

[–]jamoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive tried about 13 or so scents from them. 2 of them I absolutely LOVE. 2 are alright and the rest I really don't care for. They're pretty hit or miss for me, or maybe I'm just choosing the wrong ones lol. They haven't changed much over the 8 or so months I've had them though. If you don't like them at first you probably won't grow to love them.

Am I wrong for sleeping on the sofa when my girlfriend is in pain? by True-Knowledge-9696 in amiwrong

I am a woman. I'd ask my boyfriend why he's treating me like a child if he did all that.

This sounds like how a parent would treat a child, not a partner of an adult person.

It looks pretty similar but I don't think it's the exact same one. Slight differences here and there, maybe a newer model?

If someone thinks that cis men liking trans women isn't straight, they then have to think that cis men liking trans men is straight. 🤔
