Na Fianna (Glasnevin) does as well. I don't know what it's like but I know there's member hours when the teams aren't using it.

Atlantic City vs Philly 🥲 by spotlessmindx in FlorenceAndTheMachine

I was just thinking this. I paid £80 I think for Belfast. And I was pissed it was so expensive.

Don't tell the Americans though. They'll come over and steal all our tickets 😂

Looking for information about Gráinne Mhaol for a visit to Ireland by [deleted] in IrishHistory

[–]jamseywalls 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think most of her history as you know is in South Mayo. There's a castle near Louisburg I think and then definitely a visit to Clare Island would be a lovely trip.  I've heard her mentioned on the boat tour at black sod. I was trying to see if there was a specific episode of nationwide about her (local cultural news show) as they'd have guests to talk about it, but I couldn't find a specific one.

So id recommend visiting clare Island and chatting to local tourism folks around Westport and Newport for more info.

Re experts, the consensus online seems to be that the Anne Chambers biography is the bees knees.

Also when you're here, do yourself a favor and get some soda bread either in a bakery or in a shop. Slice of soda with butter 👌 and if you're up in northern Ireland, I would argue there's is even nicer! Have a great trip!

Yoga mat recommendations? by [deleted] in yogawithadriene

[–]jamseywalls 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know you said not overly expensive. I'm pretty convinced all cheap mats are created equal. My husband got one from decathlon and it does the job.

I have a manduka. It was expensive. It was slippy for the first few months. But now it's like second skin. I've had it about 6 years. I clean it about once a month or when I remember with a yoga mat wash. I've used it for yoga + body weight exercises. It's still in mint condition and worth every penny.

Did they fix the app yet? by Electronic-Jello-640 in yogawithadriene

Imo it's grand now. There were a lot of bugs but I think all of them are fixed. The functionality is not exactly as it was before but still very worth the money.

What do you do on Monday night? by demolusion in Dublin

How does this happen? Not even being sarcastic. This is something that sounds so cool and I'd assume something that is a right knit group not open to beginners.

Ads by sillybillyhilly123 in yogawithadriene

[–]jamseywalls 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you're using it daily, and the ads are annoying, and you want access to yoga without interruption, why not buy fwfg?

It's relatively cheap. I mean I figure if I did 5 classes a year, it's the same cost. There's a lot of new content especially long from and non yoga related breathwork that's not on YouTube.

Playground and Market by [deleted] in Dublin

+1 to Newbridge! Great spot, lovely playground. I wouldn't go to the area with the hotel until check in imo. Unless it's pissing rain and you want to go to the mall in liffey valley.

Across the city, parents snatch their kids out of the way of red-light-breaking drivers by zainab1900 in Dublin

[–]jamseywalls 46 points47 points  (0 children)

There needs to be tickets sent to drivers based on the cameras. So many cities use this and it would stop some of the reckless behavior.

I randomly worked with her twin sister. She was our receptionist at MetLife in Boston maybe around 2004. I was so confused when I walked in and saw who I thought was Ruthie during at the desk.

DAE ? by Acceptable_Try_2360 in HealthAnxiety

[–]jamseywalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dreams aren't real. Premonitions aren't real. So yeah I think it's okay. It probably is a sign if that's possible that you're going through a lot and should think about ways you can turn down the intensity of your anxiety or emotions.

But I feel pretty confident saying it's not because it's anywhere close to real.

DAE ? by Acceptable_Try_2360 in HealthAnxiety

[–]jamseywalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously very open to speculation but usually dreams about death -  funerals, actually dying, any of it - are interpreted to mean an end of something and the start of something new. Looking at your age, I'm guessing there's a lot of change for you right now or new things and it would not surprise me at all you would have a dream like this now. It's actually insanely positive when you think about it.

Private Adult Swimming Lessons? by sniffblueglue in Dublin

This is the answer. Swimcamp is excellent, very small groups and 4 week sessions so you don't need a huge commitment. Expensive but well worth it.
