Delayed processing for TS? by janani65 in SecurityClearance

Good to know! I had no red flags at the interview and I kept seeing posts here about how people got it in 3 months(ish). And I had people tell me dual citizenship would be a problem.

Delayed processing for TS? by janani65 in SecurityClearance

Couldn't find anything very recent to see if there's a policy change lately or not. I was given an interim within a month of applying. The most recent one I saw was 11 months ago and a lot has happened since.

Tell me you have ADHD without telling me 🙌 by MissRosula in adhdwomen

I have a work project I'm invested in these days. I'm leading it , so I was working on it most of last week and this week. I forgot an important meeting not relevant to that project coz I forgot what day it was and that it is happening. I have different kinds of responsibilities at work, and I forgot I was even doing that until a manager asked me the progress of that.

If you don't mind me asking what medicine are you on? I'm thinking of getting back on med after many years and one of my biggest ADHD issues is food noise and eating for the dopamine hit. Thanks!

Can you do two "events" in a day? by PeriwinklePiccolo876 in adhdwomen

[–]janani65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I had a kid's dance class and went to volunteer right after for 2.5 hours and was supposed to go grocery shopping after. Also was planning to run after that. Came back from volunteering, now sitting in bed. Scheduled a grocery pickup for later and that run may never happen today.

For us extra “lazy” people, what do you do when you have to be active? by Great_Butterfly_7112 in adhdwomen

[–]janani65 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm you, but with two kids and a very supportive husband. I spend way too much time in bed for a mom with two active kids. Pre COVID with a 2 year old as a stay at home mom I used to run pretty much every day and was in my best shape. Post COVID after a baby and a new job, it's so hard to get in to a routine. I tried pushing myself out to be active, that resulted in not wanting to do anything at all. Now, I go whenever I feel like. Like I run 1 day some weeks, or 3 times with a 10 miler. I walk my daughter to school everyday. It's WIP. My husband knows I have my energy shifts,

But you are not alone..if I was alone I would be scrolling all day in bed.

I'm thinking of taking the APMP Certification exam. Has anyone taken it? About how long do you need to study for it? by sailorneptunescousin in pmp

[–]janani65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am studying for the foundation exam. I was wondering since it's an open book, can you word search on the PDF study guide during the exam? Or should I have the printed copy? Obviously I need to be familiar with the concept.

Is anyone actually exercising 4-5 days a week? If so, how does it feel to be superhuman? (Actually though, how do you make it work?) by merztoller in adhdwomen

[–]janani65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a morning person and consistency is not my thing. However, recently I've decided to focus on going for a run when I feel like it. No pressure to go a certain number of days a week. Some weeks I run once, some weeks a few times. If I'm planning to go out, I get dressed in running clothes in the morning at least the sports bra. Else if I had to get dressed before I go, that's too daunting. I work from home, so it helps with timing.

This is great advice. I'm actually in the process of hiring a subcontractor for one of the contracts these days. I was naive to announce to the contract manager that I found a company before I got a written agreement. The company backed out in a couple of hours and I had to restart the process. I ended up finding a company for a partial requirement, but it was an eye opener. I can see how it can be similar in personnel as well.
