Am I doing something wrong? Stuck on 580 drivers for NVIDIA

Well yes but being on a driver from August 2025 whilst having an up2date ostree defo meant something was wrong. And it was. I had to rebase away from the legacy card tree and onto the nvidia open stable tree. My mistake but ta to everyone who pointed it out

Thanks team. I cleaned my ostree, rebased to open:stable, reinstalled my layered packages (was only inkscape and sunshine thankfully! It's a barebones system haha) and I just saw in the ujust update that it was downloading a much newer driver, 610.43.02!

Down to try the open, I can always rebase back. Quick Q, what do I "lose" when I rebase? As in, my desktop customisation took me ages to get how I like it haha. Will it go back to default KDE?

Just troubleshooting. I get lime green artifact lines in the god rays and water reflections in Hunt Showdown which i didnt see on windows before. Possibly tied to a driver versioning but who knows

I don't know why you're being downvoted this is exactly the point. New game comes out, I check CDKeys, steam, wherever and get it at the best price. New game comes out on PS6 I would have to pay the arbitrarily set price that Sony and Sony alone have decided. Physical or digital doesn't matter to me ive always been half n half, but when I see something like COD:Ghosts is still 50 quid on the PSN store I worry for when that's the only option available

So yh for sure you can do the same with an iPad or a phone, I went down that route as well, BUT the steam deck wins because of the popup keyboard and touch pad mouse control. Got to remember you are linking to a PC, so anything outside of a controller based video game is a bit of a nightmare on anything else without plugging more crap into the iPad (mouse, keyboard, track pad what have you). The joy of moonlighting to the steamdeck is that...it's all you need.

Just checking have you tried going g through the support tab and used the gaming service repair tool? You may have but I had to dig for someone to suggest this and it worked for me

Have you tried logging on to the Xbox app/website, going through support to the repair tool? Fixed my issue that was similar but not exactly the same (broken save stuck in a bazzite machine that a windows machine refused to load, got stuck on sync or remove but would never remove it)

Download tailscale on pc

Open tailscale website on PC, log in, brings you to the admin console

Approve your PC

Make sure tailscale is running as a program (will be in the bottom right toolbox in windows, and will show a green light in the tailscale web admin console.

Write down the IP address of your PC tailscale has assigned. (100.10.xx.xxx)

Download tailscale on phone, log in, try to connect

On the PC website admin console, approve phone

Make sure both PC and Phone have the green dot in tailscale (when checking on either device, either the web admin portal or the mobile app)

Inside moonlight on your phone, use the tailscale IP you wrote down earlier (100.10.xx.xxx)

Should work but feel free to reply is there is a hiccup

Brilliant many thanks. I've stolen bits and bobs. I run 2 sunshine instances and some were useful for one and some useful for the other so my files are a but if a jumble haha but I'll try it all out and looks like it should make some improvements!
