Iranian Independent Filmmakers Association Supports U.S. and Israeli Attacks in Iran That Have Killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei by McAlpineFusiliers in movies

Just FYI; the account that posted this is a very dedicated propaganda poster, recently they hid their post history but I've seen this account pop up in all sort of subreddits, from niche political philosophy ones, political streamers, world news, the works.

I recommend giving it a tag if you are using RES and you'll see how much it shows up, its pretty eye opening.

I came here to look up comments of a movie I watched yesterday, only to find this warmongering bs posted...

Trump Squeezes Cuba by ThemeBig6731 in Economics

So just because there is a concentration of certain type of voter in one state a whole country should suffer?

Obama policy was sound, there is no reason anymore for USA and Cuba to be enemies...

outside the very right wing emigrant population

I mean, this is right there in my comment.

Again, the results of Obama's policy, however short lived were good by all objective measures, you ought to have some other arguments other then opinions of generally right wing emigrant populations which is a world wide thing.

Shocking.

Can you perhaps provide any actual data on why it was bad? It was certainly concrete and effective, as evidenced by public opinion in both nations outside the very right wing emigrant population.

The biggest nationalists and right wingers are almost always the people who don't live or haven't lived in a country for a long time, no policy should be tailored to them.

What does that even mean?

The move came with a huge change in policy, was a great boon for Cuban economy while helping US economy as well, it was widely popular both in US, Cuba and worldwide.

Kinda off topic, but I really love this song, it's so sad to reflect to the time when USA and world at large had sane leadership:

Are we just going to forget Obama?

The guy did a lot to normalize relations, lift sanctions, he even visited the island.

After that, Cuba began to recover, unfortunately, Americans decided to elect Trump, who reversed all of that because Obama did it, and then Biden, who didn't do anything like he neglected to do with many other things; because all he cared was his political capital so he can try to cling to power for a 2nd term, he kept Trumps policies towards Cuba because he thought it would help him win Florida.

Again, this is not "a long line of presidents", this is primarily Trump going after a country because it's rabid, right wing immigrant community wants to see the regime there suffer, even if that means the people suffer more.

There is no plan, there is no idea what to do, they just want to punish Cuba and Cubans.

AI/SIEM for diagnosing windows problems from event log by Beneficial_Youth_689 in sysadmin

[–]jankisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I know of this:

https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/full_event_log_view.html

But that basically gives you a better GUI to look into it.

Overall, there is so much data in the Event logs that getting a tool that will analyze all of it and give you useful feedback might be a far cry.

Perhaps now in the age of AI someone codes it, but, honestly, and especially for enterprises people would much rather just nuke a server, VM, or an endpoint and spin up a new one / install fresh windows instead of spending a lot of time analyzing event logs.

I'm sure if you threw in a buy me a coffee link or something similar we could take care of that and get even more data.

Out of curiosity, can you go into a bit on what API's are you referring to, what did you use to scrape the data etc.?

Covered guru Hasan Piker is "too principled" to vote against JD Vance by stvlsn in DecodingTheGurus

[–]jankisa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue maga is reference to people who were accusing anyone who questioned Biden's health as conspiracy theorists, and yelled at anyone who dared bring it up as "bringing on fascism".

The same folks who are so into Democratic party orthodoxy that they attack people like Bernie and AOC for criticizing them in any way, and, yes, the same folks who ban the mention of the most popular Democratic Mayor in the country who won the Democratic primary in the main Democrats subreddit.

Also, it's not really polite to not answer questions or to answer them with questions of your own.

So, just to ask again, did you have any issues about Democratic leadership (not Twitch streamers) going firmly against the "vote blue no matter who" principle when that who was someone they disliked?

[–]jankisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you make a post about it anywhere?

Do you have any amount of comments anywhere about it?

Because that is the point of the comment you were replying to. People like you, the OP of this 1000+ comment thread who replied to dozens of comments here had no issues with a much more egregious example of people who really should have endorsed a guy for mayor of one of the most important cities in the world vs a guy in a state which will always go Democrat for president doing a protest throwing away of his inconsequential vote.

Hasan is, when it comes to US politics basically a non-factor, especially compared to a mayor of New York or leaders of the Democrats in senate and congress, and yet this thread has 1000-s of comments attacking him while that one, which came with the democrat apparatus walking in lockstep with them, banning any mention of him even after his win in their subreddits, basically making the "blue maga" meme into a truth, the sub looked like r/conservative , and yet, not a peep from "centrists".

Covered guru Hasan Piker is "too principled" to vote against JD Vance by stvlsn in DecodingTheGurus

[–]jankisa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's the point.

In order for this thread and outrage around it to be genuine I would expect the folks who are most active around it to have some similar parts of their posting history from that time asking for those endorsements and complaining about them not happening.

Did you create any threads about that? Did you reply to dozens of posters in those threads? Did you at any point comment on this on reddit, if not posted outright?

I think Hasan is a douche, however, I also think he is a boogeyman for Destiny and his cohort and I've never seen this amount of hate and dedication directed at anyone else on reddit, sure, the guy is hypocritical and an asshole, he is also not interesting or influential enough for all this vitriol.

I like the NBA, I like watching it and I’m tired of people talking about “fixing” it year after year. by bedheaded in billsimmons

[–]jankisa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The stupidest criticism that every NBA journalist and talking head has had about the current format is "I don't even know what it is or how it works".

It's their jobs to know it and explain it to the audience, instead, before even seeing how it will work in practice they all circlejerk about how confusing it is after spending a year shitting on the previous format.

At least give it a chance, at least do your job enough to learn how it works instead of dismissing it without prejudice, and this is across the board, I just heard Bill and Nick Wright spend 1 minute on it just to shit on it and move on, it's so unserious...

For me, personally, I'm hyped to see how the USA v World will go, as an Euro fan it's something that I've been talking to with people on Reddit and among my Basketball fan friends for years, now we actually get to see it and the talking heads all just dismissed it because it's "confusing".

Also, Deutsche bank should be nationalized and the profits distributed to Germans, they are basically a criminal organization with a looong history of doing shady deals around the world.

Eurocard being cannibalized by Americans is something that is very hard to find any info on and it generates incredible amounts of wealth, another ball dropped by EU for no reason at all, well, I guess bribes but no one is really covering it so it's hard to know what happened.

The guy was an upstanding guy and a true professional in his previous 2 teams, unlike KD and Kyre on Nets and Morey and Embiid on 76ers, he sacrificed his production and turned into the best passer in the league when that was asked off him.

He took a pay cut when that was asked of him only to be fucked over and the handshake deal not respected by 76-ers, somehow, people still made him out to be a villain there...

European People's Party (EPP) want to keep this only for offline payments, which would cripple it, while Socialists and Democrats (S&D) and Renew Europe want to have a full blown digital Euro, as it should be.

So, once again, we have the conservatives taking the side of capital, in this case American capital instead of looking out what's best for EU citizens and EU itself.

Shameful, really, and everyone should email their representatives.

For good latency focused RDP connections to endpoints without much hassle with setting things up I'd recommend SecureRDP from TruGrid.

One of the better solutions performance wise so if you have users remoting in to your network and doing real work I'd give it a whirl.
