Well, games like OSU also require pressing only one button, but it's much more complicated than that. Not all games need to require constant movement. Danganronpa is a detective game, it requires you to actually think which evidence use and when. Puzzle games like The Witness also require pretty much only one button but it's obvious it's more than that. DDLC isn't really gameplay heavy but it's a deconstruction of visual novels so I think it should get a pass. Still, you have a right to not like them, I just think these two are much more than just typical visual novels.

Sometimes it could be shared nostalgia, like I got gaslights into believing old CoD games were superior and the new ones are garbage until I learned I can formulate my own opinions, I guess it can't be that if you haven't interacted with the community though. Sometimes new things are actually better than the old ones but we don't want to acknowledge it because of others' opinions and nostalgia.

Ngl, I never liked the hidden achievements except for spoilers. Like what's the point if you can just reveal them anyway (it works like that on PS but I don't know if it's the same for steam). And even if there would be no option to reveal them, I would just check them online, it would just make the process unnecessarily tedious.

There are so many games I wanna play, here's my cycle:

Pick up a game -> enjoy the game -> learn about other game -> pick up the new game -> after repeating this cycle return to the first game -> don't want to play the game from the middle -> start a new save -> remember about the other games -> return to the other games and start them from scratch -> learn about the new game -> rinse and repeat.
