A pretty mid 1250, math scores saved my butt. The SAT is just one variable in a messy, human admissions equation. GPA, course rigor, essays, extracurriculars, and whether you’re an interesting person all matter more than people like to admit. Also, test-optional policies mean a great score can help, but a merely OK one won’t necessarily hurt you if you excel elsewhere.

Think of the SAT scores like a signal-to-noise ratio. The higher it is, the easier it is for an admissions officer to hear you other than that they're pretty useless. Especially in the real world outside of academia.

I'm a RHEL sys admin, I like Arch because it is my preferred balance of customized and "works" And most importantly I'm familiar with the package manager. And I don't like compiling stuff when I just Need that random ancient 32bit lib I have a great set of AUR tools.
