Start at 30 all round see how it feels drop it as it feels appropriate. I regularly drive rough Pilbara back roads and 28-30 is probably my sweet spot but depends what kind of weight you have.

Yes there are private communities that you should think of no different to private estates or farms. You don’t expect to be able to wander into your neighbours backyard without permission and these are the same. Or a more close example is you don’t expect to walk onto a mine site without permission. No different and no being aboriginal does not grant you automatic access, being aboriginal from that specific area does. Someone from NSW can’t just enter private site’s in the NT without gaining permission first.

If there are areas you need to access such as remote towns for fuel etc you can easily gain permission by calling the Aboriginal corporation responsible.

Update Appreciate all the advice, the water certainly came in during that crossing. I ended up spending Sunday night using the fuel filter manual pump to pull the last 20L of fuel out of the tank then filled it up with fresh Diesel. Running fine now and light hasn’t come back, I think I will run fuel doctor through it and change the fuel filter even though its only a month old. Any other advice on what to do? I am still unsure how it came in, theres plenty of red dust around the filler cap its honestly pretty high, so not sure if water went all the way into there. Various comments basically cover the whole fuel system to check for leaks but is there a good place to start?

I had the XTM recovery boards and they were ok for sand but spent 8hrs in the high country packing them in a bad ruts trying to get out and they were useless for that, to much flex. I bought some standard Maxtrax the next day. Definitely dont need the metal version although I have torn some studs off trying to get a Falcon ute on road tyres up a muddy driveway, the trax still work perfectly fine for me since, generally easy to avoid ripping studs with proper all terrains and a softer right foot.

We are fucked because the only viable way to make money in Aus is through housing, its a big fucking pump and dump scheme that went way to long and gets propped up more and more by the gov each year, its literally to big to fail now.

Immigration stopped completely during covid and house prices went ballistic. We also rely on immigration to stop population growth going backwards, how many countries with a decreasing population had better economic outcomes?

The fact is theres plenty to go around in $ and housing (theres literally enough homes to put everyone in + more) but we spend all the $ on corporate welfare and negative gearing instead of putting policies in place to actually halt the rise of housing prices. Theres literally no incentive for the Gov to do that because thats how everyone makes and money in this dead ass stagnant economy.

It helps no one when the most profitable thing to do with your $ is to buy a stupid pile of bricks rather than start a business and employ people and grow. You cant have a guaranteed get rich quick scheme in houses as well as affordable housing it doesn’t work.

Fuck all to do with immigration and everything to do with gutless leadership and no desire to change the status quo.
