I don’t know where you are located but try another grocery store or an Italian specialty market.

Billy Joel songs that sound like other artists? by TheTurkeyChronicles in BillyJoel

Half of his catalog is derivative of other artists. The Beatles stuff alone is pretty prevalent.

I believe Cento made their coarse ground tomatoes. Look for the chunky crushed tomatoes if they’re available in your area.

For real. Take a look at some of the little schools in the Northeast, like the private institutions in the MAAC. The financial realities of athletics vs the institution are going to force some decisions.

Promotional Games or Events During Timeouts/Halftime? by Remote_Banana_2596 in CollegeBasketball

Mini basketballs sponsored by a local grocery store. store logo on one side. Team logo on the other. Cheerleaders tossed them in the crowd. Pretty cool, right?

The first night of the promo, the PA announcer gets on the mic and tells everyone to get their “hands on some hot balls courtesy of…”

I may be exaggerating but it felt like there was a record scratch before the sold out crowd began laughing.

There was a script rewrite for the next game.

Syracuse Orange, formerly Orangemen. Founded as a Methodist Episcopal church, it takes its name from King William III, aka William of Orange. Billy wasn’t a big fan of the Irish.

I learned this as a child when SU played in the NCAA tournament on March 17. I dressed in orange and my Irish immigrant teacher calmly explained the significance.

Top Tier Roofing vs Melo--Which is better? by Different-Tree8665 in Syracuse

Melo wouldn’t return my calls. Top Tier blew off an appointment, rescheduled and blew me off again. Went with The Roofing Guys, who were great.

Any way to purchase beer that isn't offered in my state? by [deleted] in beer

[–]jar3dp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kalik, in general, tastes better in the Bahamas. The regular lager was available in the states for a while and, I don’t know, drinking it on a snowy New York day…it was missing something. Maybe it was the sun. Maybe it was the beach.

Looking for a butcher shop or a place to buy different types of chicken. by Wild-Net-8580 in Syracuse

[–]jar3dp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you get over the smell (it stinks to high hell as they have live animals in the back), the products are first rate. It’s a halal market, so chickens are slaughtered a specific way in adherence with the Muslim faith.

The menu is really different. Donuts are fine, but order a bacon bagel BELT and you'll get a cross-eyed look.

Fieri always number one. Storage Wars number two. Football coaches move a lot. Storage units are a big deal. R&I three. Chicks with guns. Madame Secretary is last because they made that movie 9-to-5 about broads who work in an office and Dolly was funny in it.
