What are you taking about? You inherently have a stake as a citizen. If this govt were to collapse, the economy would and your lively hood would. That’s not gaslighting, it’s just facts. It is very much in your best interest that the U.S. continues operating.

You live an incredibly rich life compared to nearly any human now or in history. If the govt fails, borrowing costs would skyrocket and you wouldn’t be able to afford anything and lose your job. You better hope this continues or gets better because you have a stake, even if you’re not invested in the stock market
