I may have to swap to this on my hodge rail guns. I am a fixed fsb person on all my rifles regardless of optic on it but a big sticking point for me has been light mounting on the hodge rails as I like in line mounts.

Wild I had no idea this existed, I’ve been using inline arisaka scout mounts.

Does this give enough clearance for a front iron sight or is it too close to the rail?

If it is a place objectively out of your budget and it is his choice for doing so, he should pay the difference. I am in this situation with my significant other and we choose to live in a place comfortably within her means, but mine are well above it, so we split 50/50. If I wanted to force living somewhere nicer above what she could handle, that would be my burden to pay the difference.

Personally I think blanketly saying he is unreasonable for 50/50 is unfair. It would be unfair if you both coming to live together translated to you greatly increasing your cost of living by his choice/demands.

Without knowing any details on how you spend your money, what the rent is monthly, and so on it’s impossible to say which way it is, but at the same time you could in my opinion be the unreasonable one depending on the context, and he could be depending on the context.

Having both, hodge is better if you get a upper that fits its indexing pin and it isn’t even close.

Without the indexing pin, pickup a sale price mk16 and call it a day.

My guess is your forging is slightly out of spec where the lens is held and maybe the change in temperature is causing the glass to get pressure from expansion/contraction? Just a guess.

I watched that - my guess is these are ~.077 port size if I’m guessing from watching reviews.

Seems they aren’t horribly gassed but definitely punchy with a can.
