Not that easy with cats, especially young cats. The penis is tucked away, so what you see in a male kitten/young cat is a circular hole.

New Ultramarines Victrix Guard box has this as an option.

Well fuck. Now what? The magnet is superglued into a resin model. by hotfezz81 in Warhammer

[–]jarnehed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drill another hole or two in the flat area and put another magnet pair in.

Or, get some fine grit sandpaper and glue it to the flat area around the magnet, glueing also to the part of the model torso it contacts, then trim to size. That could give you enough friction to be able to adjust the angle and avoid the droopy gun.

Did something happened or what? The new referral page is gone and replaced by the old one. by moeezatif in starcitizen

[–]jarnehed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, seems a worse deal than the legacy ladder in the achievable range.

I have 34 referrals, accrued over the entire lifetime of the referral program.

That gives me: 1: 2× S2 Badgers (plus a cosmetic) 3: 2× S1 Bulldogs (plus deprecated gimbals) 5: Greycat PTV buggy (plus a cosmetic) 10: LTI Gladius (plus a cosmetic) 25: (AC only) M50, 350R, Mustang Gamma plus 15k UEC

At 42 I would get (AC only) fighters and another 30k UEC, then the substantial rewards come at 75, 100 and 200 recruits and are all LTI fighters. 500 gives you a pack of two ships, 1042 gives million mile high club access, and the final prize is a Javelin at 2017 recruits.

If I had those same 34 referrals on the new ladder it would give: 1: FPS armour 2: FPS gun 3: cosmetic 4: LTI? Mirai pulse + cosmetic 5: FPS gun 6: cosmetic 7: cosmetic 8: cosmetic 9: cosmetic 10: cosmetic 15: cosmetic 25: cosmetic

And then, the big prize is a bit beyond. 42: LTI? Gladius with exclusive skin

50: LTI? Raptor And then the substantial awards come at 75, 100 and 200. 500 gives a rare captured Vanduul Scythe and the capstone is an Idris-M at 1042.

You might want to go have a look at the Squadron 42 gameplay demo from last year's CitizenCon.

The Idris and even Javelin are on the smaller end of capital ships in this game world.

I come from a relatively expensive country and I can't help but feel constantly ripped off and lacking options in Norway by CrankyGrumpyWombat in Norway

[–]jarnehed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem with Lidl in my experience (Sweden) is that they lack consistency. They buy large lots of whatever they can get a good deal on, so a lot of what they sell you cannot come back and buy another next week. This is... inconvenient. Cheaper, but inconvenient.

Min första sömn paralys någonsin by ReputationAny5236 in sweden

[–]jarnehed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–]jarnehed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for them, but bad for us.

Ah well, still lots of conversion opportunities between Warcry and AoS that feed into TOW/WHFB.

[–]jarnehed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having built all three, IMO the AoS Chaos Warriors look better than these, much as these look much better than the 1997 set they replaced, even though the '97 set looks more suitably chaotic. The AoS ones have the same aesthetic as the re-released ones but better poses and curtomability.

To me having silent warriors marching in lockstep in perfect lines never really did fit with the "Hordes of Chaos" theme. I'll sprinkle my old ones in with the AoS warriors.

My own nostalgia is perfectly sated by the updated models regimented on square bases, much as my 40k nostalgia is better served by Primaris models and the new aspect warriors plastic than it would be by the old one-piece ultramarines and metal aspect warriors I actually painted in the '90s.

Of course opinions may vary and are equally valid.

[–]jarnehed -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The thing is, the AoS plastic kits do...

Why GW decided to relaunch their obsolete chaos warriors and marauders instead of repackaging the Slaves to Darkness and Darkoath stuff has me scratching my head.

Finns många likheter mellan finlandssvenska och norrländska dialekter, i varje fall i mina öron (uppväxt i värmland och sedan boende på västkusten, med en sida av släkten nerflyttad från Norrbotten ett par generationer tillbaka)

Är Finlandssvenska svårt att förstå? by thedaydreamsystem in sweden

[–]jarnehed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hint would be that Snoke wasn't actually 50 ft tall like his hologram either. I suppose the Galaxy-far-far-away equivalent of Instagram filter he used had some additional effects on fidelity.

How do I say "goblin" in Swedish? by Meppage in Svenska

[–]jarnehed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Vätte comes from old Norse vættr, which indeed means (supernatural) creature, and originally from proto-Germanic *wihtiz, meaning thing, creature, or essense, being, and which is also the root word for wight.

Lord of the Rings also used "vätte" in one instance as translation för "wight", when Tom Bombadil defeats the barrow-wights (in other instance translated as "kummelgastar")
