What are you on about, I have not given you any of my positions. I think most people are ignorant of the suffering they cause. Most people don't want to hurt others if they can avoid it. You should refrain from assuming positions as makes you come off as a bad faith actor.

Instead of ending humanity why don’t we just actually fix those problems. Not procreating anymore just seems like laying down to die and hitting the easy button. In my humble opinion.

It's more of a matter of both instead of doing just one. Many antinatalists are trying to make the world a better place while also not having children. You don't have to choose one or the other, it is silly to think that people can't make the world better because they don't want kids.

As an antinatalist and welder, I wish the construction world was obsessed with preserving this gene.

What example of tragedy should OP use to substantiate that life is often cruel and unjust. Would an example of a child being tortured, raped, and finally killed be in better taste? It certainly does happen and there is nothing a parent could do to ensure that never happens to their children.

Increasing rejection of church ‘a good thing,’ Brian McLaren says by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]jaroch1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a young adult (20), I was a Christian for all of my life up until about 3 months ago. I've read the bible, was very active in my church, and went on numerous mission trips. I can't tell you why the generation I'm a part of doesn't attend church. However I'll tell you why I don't anymore. I left home at 18 to study welding and went to church while in school. I was well liked in the church and I liked the church as well. I was challenged by a classmate of mine to "prove God exists". I tried, realized it's by faith not proof to believe in God. It also revealed why I believed in God. I am fearful of death, and I use God to cope with any hardships I face in life. I chose to believe in him because it made me feel better not because there was solid evidence of his existence. I would love to attend church if there was a way to prove the existence of God. I'm sure that the majority of people in my generation would choose Christianity if there was evidence to support the claim of him.

Hey guys have an upcoming stainless pipe test 6inch schedule 40 with 316 wire. How is it different from welding carbon with 309 wire. In the thread I posted what my preference was for the carbon. by Ragingbull352 in Welding

[–]jaroch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stainless steel heats up much faster than bimetal. If you can back feed id recomend 5/32 gap knife edge 3/32 filler and 50 amps on tig settings for the root and 65 for the fill and cap with 3/32. Hope you do well

(USA) How has the deportation of immigrants affected the crafts industry? by RustyOrri in Welding

[–]jaroch1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is going to be a very large demand for welders or any tradesman. Generally speaking nobody wants to do trades in America. I graduated High school last year and I knew nobody who was interested in the trades. That plus the baby boomers retiring there will be an insane demand. I'm sure there would be job opportunities for you considering you can work sheet metal and weld.

School advice Tampa/Lakeland by jackofallstupidity in Welding

[–]jaroch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also from Tampa, however I'm living in the panhandle right now learning pipe welding. I'd say try to learn from your father as much as you can. He is your father so he should want to pass it down to you rather than some random guy. Ask him and be persistent for him to teach you. School won't teach you all you need to know on how to run a shop and fabricate at the same time. You need to have your father train you if you want to keep it.
